Hotel Crown Hills Kushiro

I stayed here on my first visit to Kushiro in 13 years. It was very convenient—close to the station and just a short walk to MOO. During the wait between riding the Norokko Train and the sunset cruise, I was able to take a shower and recharge. After coming back in the cold, I went straight to the large public bath; the water was pleasantly hot and really refreshed me. I would have liked to relax longer, but I checked out before 8:00 a.m. the next morning to tour the lake on the Pirika boat. It was a comfortable stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

I travel to Kushiro every year on business, but this was my first time staying here. The Room was clean, but it was cold that day and I ended up staying under the futon even inside the Room. I wished there had been heating. Breakfast was a buffet—about the same as other Business Hotels, I guess—but it was tasty. The bath wasn’t crowded, but when it is, it feels small.The front desk staff deserve top marks! They were foreign staff members, and their smiles were wonderful.Also, after checkout they kindly stored my carry-on bag until my JR train time, and they even kept my refrigerated souvenirs in a fridge for me. That really helped. I have another business trip to Kushiro in autumn, so I’ll stay here again!
