REF Matsuyama City Station by Vessel Hotels

This Hotel is directly connected to Iyotetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, which was convenient since I planned to take an express bus the day after my stay. The Room and the large public bath were both very clean and well maintained. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which included local specialties (Uwajima-style sea bream rice and five kinds of mandarin orange juice). Since I enjoyed Onsen at Dogo Onsen Honkan, I only needed a place to stay and a good breakfast, so I was very satisfied and felt it offered great value for money.

(For context, I’m a bit of a neat freak.)Everything was spotless, and I had a very comfortable stay. Check-in, picking up the luggage I had left in advance—everything went smoothly.The Room is gently “shoes-off,” so you can relax with peace of mind.They also provide indoor slippers for going to the large public bath, which is very thoughtful—you don’t have to head there in loungewear and dress shoes.It’s easy to find since it’s at the starting point for trams and buses, and with Takashimaya nearby, you won’t have trouble finding souvenirs.I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Matsuyama.*Note: There is no bathtub in the Room. If you want to soak in hot water, you’ll need to use the large public bath, so it may not be ideal for those who prefer a long soak in their own Room.*
