    Musty odor, dead insects, thin walls

    I stayed on Saturday to meet a friend, but it happened to coincide with a festival and the Accommodation was fully booked. The price also went up to around 10,000 yen. As soon as I entered the Room, there was a strong mold smell (the ceiling vent had not been cleaned, with dust buildup and black mold). Even after ventilating for a while, it did not improve, so I asked the front desk (a foreign staff member) to change Rooms, but they said it was impossible because they were fully booked and handed me an air freshener. There were small dead insects on the bed, and the wallpaper was torn. An alarm clock from the next Room echoed early in the morning. During the night, I developed hives—possibly due to the mold—and had a sleepless night.

    The Facility is outdated.

    It’s inexpensive, but the Facility is basic for the price. The power outlet was not working properly, so I couldn’t charge my phone. There was no coffee or similar amenities in the Room.

    Affordable option

    The hotel is somewhat old and not very well maintained, but considering the price, it remains an affordable option for travelers in Okayama. The bed is slightly low, the carpet could be cleaner, and dust may circulate when the air conditioning is on. The bathroom condition could use improvement, and hopefully, future renovations will address this. Located about a 15-minute walk from the train station, there is also a tram available for those who prefer not to walk.

    Affordable accommodations

    A bit distant from the train station, around 15 minutes on foot. The 12m² room is spacious enough for two people, though the interior feels slightly outdated and not well-maintained. The bathroom is small but acceptable. The air conditioning can be a bit noisy when running. Occasionally, you may find room prices under 3000 yen, making it a great deal for those seeking a simple place to sleep in Okayama. Housekeeping could use some improvement.

    I was completely satisfied.

    Located in Okayama City next to Korakuen Garden, "The OneFive Okayama" surprised me with its incredibly affordable rates. I was a bit uncertain at first, but after staying for one night, I was completely satisfied: - The price is very reasonable. - The room is spacious, approximately 20 square meters. - No complaints about the amenities. If given the chance, I would love to stay longer—perhaps two weeks or even a month—for remote work.

    The phone number is 0570

    After making a reservation, I was surprised to find that inquiries had to be made through a 0570 paid phone number. The room is small and the facilities are old. Isn't the accommodation fee high for that?

    Made a same-day Reservation.

    I forgot to make a hotel reservation for that day, so I was grateful that I was able to make a reservation at the only hotel available on IKYU that day. However, it was disappointing that the service was not satisfactory considering the high price. Moreover, when I checked other sites, I found it listed at a surprisingly low price, one-tenth of what I paid. I was very disappointed.
