Hotel Gate Inn Kagoshima

All staff were very kind and welcoming, always with a smile. Since it was extremely hot, I really appreciated that the air conditioning was running well when I entered the front desk area at check-in in the evening. There was a welcome drink, and while the Hotel grounds seemed small, it was perfect for us as we were only staying overnight after sightseeing—compact and comfortable. Recently I often choose places with a large public bath, but this time there was a semi-open-air bath, so I could relax without worrying about anything and recover from my fatigue. They had a full lineup of ReFa products; outlets, cables, and towels were provided in two separate areas; it was eco-friendly with no plastic bottles; the alternative cups were easy to use; and there were water dispensers on each floor. I didn’t use them, but it also seemed possible to do laundry and drying. There is a small rooftop area where you can see Sakurajima—I was truly impressed. Great value for money, clean and well maintained, with an excellent location—this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I often stay in Kagoshima, and I always check availability here first. The location is excellent—right by both the streetcar stop and the bus stop, and Tenmonkan is just a few minutes’ walk away. On the day of my stay, I was told the parking lot was out of service due to a malfunction, but there was a large multi-story parking garage across the intersection that could be used as an affiliated lot, and the guidance was smooth. The front desk staff were also extremely courteous. The front desk area is small, but the drink service is more than sufficient. The Room is always impeccably cleaned whenever I visit, and the amenities are surprisingly well stocked for the price. It’s rare to find a Hotel that provides that many towels. I don’t want to praise it too much and make it harder to book, but unless you absolutely need a large Room, there’s really nothing to complain about.
