    Not recommended.

    One night from April 18. Checked in around 16:30. Single use of a smoking Room. During check-in, a female staff member with crooked teeth stood with her arms crossed and waited while I filled out the form. Her speech was unclear, and she rushed through the routine Facility guidance in a monotone. In the guest Room, cigarette butts from a previous guest fell out from inside the brochure. I called the front desk, and an older staff member repeatedly apologized and took the cigarette butts away. No offer was made to re-clean the Room or change Rooms, and there was no other service offered such as a discount. At checkout, that same older staff member was present but did not apologize at all for what happened the day before. I look forward to responses from both of them.

    There is an issue with the dinner menu.

    I ordered shabu-shabu for dinner. I chose rice porridge to finish, but there was no shredded nori. Since I live in Nara Prefecture, I always add shredded nori to rice porridge. Maybe that custom isn’t common in Hiroshima Prefecture. There were also no pickles—I would have liked at least some salted kelp. Although dinner was a kaiseki course, there was no dessert at the end, so I bought ice cream from a vending machine afterward. Breakfast was like what you’d expect at a typical Business Hotel. Each time you go to the bath or dining area, you have to put your slippers in a locker and go in barefoot. The dining room has wooden flooring, so my feet got cold and it was uncomfortable. I’d like this improved. The bath has an open-air bath, but it’s just several small tubs, so it felt cramped. A larger bath would be more relaxing.

    Route Inn with an attached health spa

    The room is compact but meets all the necessary conditions and is user-friendly. Since it is attached to a health spa, it not only has a well-equipped sauna and large public bath but also a manga corner. The breakfast buffet is neither particularly good nor bad. The large public bath is nice and empty when used in the morning when there are no day-trip guests.
