    The bathroom was extremely disappointing. The poor workmanship and lack of thorough cleaning were unacceptable.

    For Multiple Night Stays of 2 nights, towels and nightwear will not be replaced.

    Our family stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights). The building was as open and inviting as shown in the photos, and we were able to fully enjoy the Karuizawa setting. However, as the title says, for a 2-night stay there is no replacement of towels, nightwear, or sheets. We were told replacements start from the third day. There was no explanation about this at the time of Reservation or from staff upon arrival at the Accommodation. Assuming towels would be replaced, we put the used towels together in a basket, so on the second day we had no towels and had to go buy some at a convenience store. We called the phone number listed as available 24 hours, but they only told us that towel replacement starts from day three and that not replacing towels on day two is their policy—no assistance was provided. Even though we paid two nights’ worth of charges (one-night rate × 2), we received no clear explanation as to why towels for the second day were not included. We were also told someone would call back the next day, but no one did. Since a vacuum cleaner and washing machine are provided, it seems guests are expected to use these facilities themselves because there is no cleaning or towel replacement on the second day. However, this was not explained either.

    It was my first time staying at the updated Mori no Hanare. It took a little getting used to, but it was just as wonderful as ever. Thank you very much.

    Modern Forest Estate

    I discovered this hotel while looking for accommodation for a large group trip and made a reservation. The building is calm and embodies simple modern design, allowing us to spend peaceful moments. It also offers good access to various locations in Karuizawa. While the stylish room was impressive, there were a few points of concern: - Due to the season, there were many small insects around the kitchen area. - The kitchen sink lacked any glass or guard, causing water to splash into the living area when washing dishes. - The main toilet's lock was not well-fitted, making it difficult to open and close. - There were almost no power outlets in the spacious living room, which made charging devices like smartphones inconvenient. - Having slippers available for stepping out into the pleasant garden would be a nice addition. Overall, it was very comfortable, and my family enjoyed their stay. I would love to use this accommodation again if given the chance!

    Surrounded by greenery, the unique design of this single-story glass-walled building ensures privacy from other units, allowing for a truly wonderful stay. The hospitality was warm and very attentive. Being able to communicate via SMS was also greatly appreciated. While there were moments when I didn’t understand how to use some of the equipment provided, detailed instructions were available, showcasing excellent service. (That said, for someone not skilled with machines like myself, it still wasn’t enough to manage certain settings...) Overall, I’m glad I chose to stay here. Below are some suggestions for improvement: The lack of any seasonings was slightly inconvenient. Considering the price and level of service provided here, having basic seasonings would be a welcome addition. Given the size of the Facility, it seems likely that families often stay here. However, for those with young children, features such as a sunken bath area or small insect-repellent items placed on the floor may require extra caution from parents. I understand it’s challenging for Facilities to cater perfectly to all guest demographics; these are just points worth noting for future guests. (However, if staying in a unit specifically recommended as child-friendly led me to feel similarly concerned about safety issues like these, I might have been slightly dissatisfied.) Having an option to choose Plans that include meals was convenient; however, simply handing over food without any explanation about menus or how best to enjoy them felt somewhat impersonal. Dinner itself was... average at best—but the bread served was delicious and plentiful! If I stay again in the future though—I’d definitely consider ordering meals again!

    Would love to visit again!

    Stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my mother's birthday. The first day was wrapped in mist, creating a magical atmosphere. Surrounded by nature, it was very relaxing, and waking up in the morning felt blissful. My whole family was delighted, so we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!
