Dogo Onsen Hanayuzuki

This was our second stay in 11 years. The open atrium was truly impressive. Located right behind the Dogo Onsen Main Building, the location is excellent. The front desk offers a 24-hour coffee corner, which is very relaxing. From 3 PM to around 7 PM, there is a free drink corner with highballs and juice on the third floor. As it was for a special occasion and being an IKYU Diamond Member, we were grateful for the room upgrade. The Iyo beef served at dinner was unforgettable—just one more slice would have been perfect (there were two slices). The open-air bath on the top floor offered stunning views of the blue sky, moon, and Matsuyama City below; the hot water was wonderfully warming.Thanks to the efforts of both the manager and hostess, all staff members were kind and attentive. It has transformed into a warm-hearted Ryokan, which made us very happy. We will definitely choose Hanayuzuki again when visiting Dogo Onsen in the future. It was an amazing trip—thank you!

First time at Dogo Onsen, the slightly silky water quality, spacious open-air bath, and reclining bath were all very satisfying. The room was a two-room Japanese-style space with beds, making it comfortable for elderly guests. Hot and cold water were provided in the room, offering a warm welcome typical of a traditional accommodation. The pre-dinner highball was a lucky treat to quench our thirst. Dinner featured two types of sea bream rice (cooked and sashimi with egg yolk), which met our expectations perfectly and left us very satisfied. If I may add one wish—it would have been nice to have sea bream rice for breakfast as well! Since we arrived late at 5 PM, parking was off-site, which caused some confusion.
