    It was a bit disappointing.

    This was my first time staying here. Considering the price, I think it was about what I expected. Two things were a bit disappointing. 1. I arrived early and asked a foreign staff member, “Could you store my luggage?” The response was “Sure” / “It’s fine.” It felt too casual for customer service at an Accommodation, and it left me feeling uncomfortable right from arrival. 2. The Wi‑Fi is very weak. Even when connected in the Room, it disconnects almost immediately. I thought I was safe to watch videos on Wi‑Fi, but it had disconnected without me noticing, which worried me. It’s relatively fine in the lobby, but in the Room the Wi‑Fi drops every 30 seconds to 1 minute.

    Relaxing Accommodation

    This was our first stay at this Accommodation, and we really liked it—the atmosphere was great, and the Room was spacious and very relaxing. It’s also close to Yubatake, so getting to Yubatake in the daytime and when it’s lit up at night, as well as shopping for souvenirs or grabbing a quick drink or meal, was no problem. Since it isn’t right around Yubatake, we were able to spend the nights quietly. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we visit Kusatsu.

    A Convenient Base in Kusatsu

    Conveniently located very close to Yubatake—perfect as a base for sightseeing. There are many great restaurants nearby, and we enjoyed an evening stroll around town. After that, we picked up local sake at a liquor store and had yakitori for drinks in the Room—our usual style when visiting Kusatsu. The bathroom is compact, but the hot Onsen water flows continuously and feels fresh and wonderful. They also provide a light breakfast service, which is really helpful. Excellent value for money for a casual trip to Kusatsu.

    Conveniently located near Yubatake.

    Before my surgery and hospitalization, I wanted to visit Kusatsu Onsen, so I went. Now, my surgery has been successfully completed, and I am currently hospitalized. This was my second stay at Yoshi-no-ya, and once again, I thought it was wonderful. Room 101 is close to the bath area, so I enjoyed soaking multiple times. The thoughtful provision of post-mastectomy bathing wear in the locker without needing to ask at the front desk is truly commendable. As someone who underwent a mastectomy due to breast cancer but loves Onsen and has had breast reconstruction surgery to enjoy them freely again, I deeply appreciated their considerate approach for those who have not undergone reconstruction yet.

    The property had an overall old-fashioned feel. However, it was very clean. The location was convenient for getting anywhere.
