    Can't wait to come back!

    We visited as a family trip. Because we arrived late, we checked in, picked up the welcome sweets, took a look at our Room, and then headed to the Onsen. The outdoor bath “Shirogane-no-Yu” was wonderful—my skin felt so moisturized! We stayed in a Villa Suite. It’s a log-cabin cottage style Accommodation, and the Room was spacious, very clean, and truly relaxing. There aren’t any paintings or decorations in the Room, but the sky, mountains, and trees seen through the window feel like a framed work of art—I could watch it forever (laugh). It made me realize how long it had been since I lived without thinking about time. For dinner we went to Restaurant Aoyama Ryokusui. You can enjoy dishes that reflect Oze’s nature, such as game meat and wild mountain vegetables. Even while waiting for the next course, staff brought ingredients to show us, so we enjoyed the time between dishes as well. Before bed we went to another Onsen inside the Facility. We were told it uses the same water as Shirogane-no-Yu, and it was perfect for a slow soak at night. The next morning we drove to Shiori Pass to see Takigumo (waterfall clouds). We were lucky enough to see them! Waking up early was worth it. It’s just a short drive from the Facility, so I highly recommend it. Breakfast included seasonal vegetables and wild mountain plants as well as river fish—and above all, the rice was delicious! Many of the staff are young, but everyone was polite and greeted us with warm smiles, which helped us relax throughout our stay. If you arrive earlier there also seems to be a kitchen tour; I’d love to join next time if I have the chance. Honestly, my only thought is that I wish we could have stayed longer… We definitely want to come back!

    I’ve stayed at sever...

    I’ve stayed at several group Hotels, and this one also caught my interest, so I visited. On arrival we were treated to handmade canelés, and on departure we received cookies—both delicious and truly heartwarming. The meals weren’t flashy, but they left such a lasting impression that even looking back at the photos brings the memories right back. It was also wonderful that the chef came to greet us at the end. The only disappointment was the rain the next morning, but we were able to enjoy a very relaxing stay.

    An Exceptional Hotel for Staying in Oze

    I discovered this place through a travel and Onsen column in a major newspaper, then made a Reservation via IKYU. The real experience exceeded what the article described. Because it is located near Oze or Okutadami, access can be challenging. After driving a rental car through the nine tunnels leading to Ginzan-daira, you arrive at an open area—staying at the lodge there was truly exceptional. Mountain accommodations can often be less thorough when it comes to insects and overall hygiene, but this Hotel was flawless: Accommodation, Onsen, lounge, and meals were all perfect and could be enjoyed with complete peace of mind. In addition, all the staff were young and offered helpful advice, interesting stories, and guided walks to see alpine plants—so even with just one night, I had an outstanding experience. Most memorable was the indoor Onsen bath available 24 hours after check-in: late at night I walked from my lodge to the bath lodge with a flashlight, and along the way the starry sky was literally filled with the Milky Way overhead. Surrounded by such clear air, it became a wonderful Tanabata overnight stay.
