Unfortunately.
I had a better experience back when it was Daiwa Roynet, so this time was disappointing. I probably won’t stay again. There were too many guests for the size of the dining area. I didn’t know check-in was available before 3:00 p.m., and by the time I tried to book dinner, my preferred time slots were already full. It may be fair for the price, but during Silver Week it costs nearly three times as much, and with this level of service I don’t think it would feel worth it. I’m really glad I didn’t go during Silver Week.

The quality has declined significantly compared to before.
I first stayed here in 2024 and was amazed that such a wonderful Hotel existed, so this was my third stay. At the beginning, the Hotel was quiet, the play area was almost empty, and with the all-inclusive plan the food was stylish and delicious. With that impression, I recommended it to friends and also to my family. However, this is my third time now, and perhaps it has become popular because it was extremely crowded—there were lines at check-in, the lounge was packed with people, and the play area was also very busy. Also, in the early days there were about three kinds of snacks in the lounge that adults would like (such as rice crackers or karinto), plus around four kinds that children would like (such as marshmallows or dried fruit), but this time there were only about four types of rice-cracker snacks and nothing really appealing for kids (barely just popcorn). My impression was: is this all...? In addition, both dinner and breakfast took a long time to enter, and operations were not very good. The menu also had fewer items like temari sushi that looked stylish and made you excited to eat them, which was very disappointing. All of the Hotel staff are pleasant and kind, but compared with before, I felt the quality of service had declined, so I don’t think I will stay again in the future.

We had a large group of guests.
Although the forecast had called for rain over the weekend, we were glad it turned out to be cloudy for a day. However, there were so many guests with small children that we couldn’t relax anywhere. Was there some kind of campaign? There was no explanation from the Hotel, and we had come expecting a quiet stay. The lounge drinks selection was excellent.

Accommodation for three guests
I usually stay here with my husband, but this time I stayed with three friends. I wanted to relax and unwind with friends I hadn’t seen in years. We enjoyed the Onsen, meals, and drinks, and we didn’t want the hassle of settling up every time, so we chose the all-inclusive plan. It was a great decision. My friends were thrilled too. Thank you very much. There’s a pier about a 5-minute drive from the Hotel with an amazing view—highly recommended. If you ask at the Hotel front desk, they’ll tell you how to get there.

A Hotel that isn’t worth the price
I’ve stayed at many luxury international Hotels, but this is the first time I’ve felt a Hotel was so not worth the price. Aside from the lobby, the large public bath, and the dining area, there has been little to no renovation—just outdated Japanese-style banquet halls and Rooms. The sofa was worn out and didn’t support my body at all. In particular, the dog-friendly Room had a strong urine odor that seemed to be soaked in, and they tried to cover it up with an air purifier. The Room itself was an old-fashioned Japanese tatami Room as-is, which honestly made me want to cry. The pool is about one-third the size of a school pool—you can’t really play; you can only soak. The lounge offers only rice crackers, meals cost extra, and don’t be misled by the term “all-inclusive.” You’d be better off staying at another pool Hotel with a lounge-included Plan. It’s suitable for families with children up to early elementary school age.

I went out with my grandchild.
We chose the Family Room because we had two small children. The Room had baby amenities, which was great, but the bathroom was a unit bath, so even with a baby bath it was hard to wash them, and it was difficult because the parent had to get undressed to do so. Having baby amenities in the Room was very helpful, but we thought a Room with a separate bathroom (not a unit bath) would have been better. Also, having futons for the third adult might have worked well for children who move around a lot in their sleep.

Summer Memories
Our family of four (a 9th grader and a 6th grader) had a wonderful stay. The all-inclusive plan was excellent, and the private cape, ocean views (the sunset was unforgettable), scenic walks, and the play areas inside the Hotel kept our kids very happy. The food, baths, and staff were all top-notch. Also, there’s an atmospheric spot called Haraoka Pier about a 5-minute drive away.

Recommended for families with children
There is a space for activities such as table tennis, badminton, and ball games, and there is also a pool, though it is somewhat small. Food and drinks, including alcohol, are available in the lounge. The meals are not particularly upscale, but they are relatively tasty and offer a wide variety of options.

Family-friendly Accommodation
We stayed as three generations with my in-laws. We loved the outdoor pool and have visited for two consecutive years. The advance arrangements, such as placing our Rooms next to each other, were very helpful. Since we used the pool several times during our stay, it would be great if extra towels were available, if lunch (even light meals) could be served at the Hotel, and if some items on the buffet menu changed daily.

I was craving natto...
It was all-inclusive, so there were no charges other than the Accommodation fee. The beer we had in the lounge was delicious, and the rice crackers served as snacks were great too. We traveled with our dog, and by using a cart we were able to relax on the sofas outside the lounge. It was also convenient that we could reach the dog run directly from the pet floor on the 3rd floor without going through the front desk. The dog run might require some caution for small dogs, as they may be able to slip out. There is a parking area at the bottom, and there was a place to secure a leash there, so it might have been easier to park there—but since there was no guidance, we didn’t notice it. The walking map we received at check-in was very well made and really useful. We had a wonderful time. I wanted natto for breakfast, but it wasn’t available. Please consider adding natto. I saw several other guests looking for natto as well—so I’d really appreciate it. We enjoyed our stay very much and would like to visit again.

Pool and Dining
The pool was taken over by children, so adults couldn’t use it. You should set adult-only hours. The cherry tomatoes in the salad section of the buffet were not fresh and tasted bad. It would be helpful to have a wall clock inside the Onsen Facility.

Grand Mercure brand: the second property
I stayed in Nasu the year before last, when Grand Mercure reopened after rebranding, and this was my second stay in the area—this time at your Hotel. I chose it for the appeal of the all-inclusive plan. The lounge was smaller than expected, but it was well thought out, with takeout available to bring items back to the Room. I was told breakfast started at 7:00 and selected the earliest slot. When I arrived at the venue, I found an earlier 6:45 time had been set and breakfast had already started, which surprised me—but there was also an open table that could seat our group of 14, which was a big help. I assume this is how you manage busy periods. There is a pool (not large, but enough), and it was a plus that we could enjoy ourselves within the Hotel. Some older elements from its Royal Hotel days remain, but given the price point, it felt like you focused on key areas—such as plumbing—rather than doing a full renovation. We enjoyed our stay.

A Comfortable Summer Weekend
We decided to visit an all-inclusive Hotel as a family, and the pool was another big draw, so we stayed here for one night. Our Room was on the top floor facing the ocean, and the view from the window was amazing. First, we went down to the rocky shore right below the Hotel to admire the beautiful sea, then had some fun in the pool before heading to the large public bath. After that, we enjoyed a beer in the lounge and went to dinner. The food was delicious, and we ended up drinking quite a bit. Breakfast on day two was also excellent. Even after checkout, we went back into the pool once more and took a shower before heading home. We fully enjoyed the all-inclusive plan and had a wonderful weekend. Thank you very much.

The soft-serve ice cream is delicious.
The meals offered a great variety, and there was also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks at both dinner and breakfast. The soft-serve ice cream was delicious. The coffee was also quite good, so I recommend having it with the soft-serve ice cream. We also enjoyed playing table tennis for free. The Room was clean. However, the toilet was small and the seat was on the smaller side, so if you are larger than average, I think it’s better not to choose this Room. Also, it was disappointing that we were given yukata rather than samue like the children.

Thank you very much ...
Thank you very much for your hospitality today. This was our first trip with our grandchild, and they were thrilled. They said they would like to stay again. By the way, we had a Reservation for three adults, but there were only two bath bags and only two key cards. When I asked, I was told that each Room comes with two cards, but we would still prefer to have key cards for the number of adults. Also, I was quite concerned about the dust in the corner of the open area on the second floor. That said, our grandchildren were delighted and played a lot. As this Accommodation is promoted as “Welcome Baby,” there were many small children, so even if my grandchild cried, we could relax without worrying too much.

Comfortable
I stay here almost every year, and because it’s all-inclusive, I always have a comfortable visit. The Room is great, the large public bath is very relaxing, and the breakfast is so good I end up eating too much. The staff were also consistently pleasant and welcoming. This time it may have been because the hotel was busy, but when I checked in around 5:00 PM, only very early or very late breakfast time slots were available for the next morning. It would be helpful if guests could choose a breakfast time when making a Reservation.

Thanks to you, we had a wonderful two days.
We had a truly enjoyable two-day stay. Our dog happily ate the treats, and we were also very satisfied to enjoy local dishes, making for a highly fulfilling holiday. All of the staff were kind and took great care of us, which made us very happy. The only slight disappointment was a stain from pet waste on the front-left area of the pet fence (it came off with a wet wipe). However, overall, we were extremely satisfied. We are very grateful that you welcome pets. We understand there may be challenges, but we hope you will continue to do so. We will definitely visit again!!

A great Hotel for families with children.
A wide range of child-friendly Facilities and menu options. For four adults using two large open spaces with two futon sets, the Room felt a bit too small. Located within a nature-rich quasi-national park, it’s ideal for walking and exploring.

The clientele is awful...
Visitor numbers have been increasing year by year, and even though we made a Reservation on a weekday, it was extremely crowded. The staff were very helpful and check-in went smoothly, but the behavior of some guests was disappointing. We also have children and were looking forward to the kids’ area, but a group of about four elementary school–aged kids stayed there for a long time without any guardians, so we couldn’t use it. Some people brought strollers in, and others left toys out and returned to their Room without tidying up—overall it was unpleasant and disappointing. That said, we really enjoyed the food and the drinks!

I enjoyed an all-inclusive experience.
I recently learned about “all-inclusive” stays and was curious, so we went as a family since it was a great-value Plan. From the moment we arrived, I felt there were quite a lot of families with small children. The lounge was available from 3:00 PM, and alcohol was served from that time as well—amazing! We took a short walk down to the beach to listen to the waves and relaxed until our dinner Reservation time. The variety of food was outstanding. There were so many options that I wanted to try everything but couldn’t possibly finish it all. There were seafood dishes and Asian-inspired options too. There were plenty of drinks, desserts, and kid-friendly items as well. Everything we tried was delicious! I think the lounge was open until 10:00 PM, so we could use it late into the evening. The next morning, we used the large public bath before heading to breakfast. The breakfast selection was also very satisfying, and everything tasted great. One small downside was that there weren’t many amenities provided in the Room. I would have liked it if there had been a place to pick up anything missing. Also regarding towels—after washing my face in the morning, it would have been nice to have an unused towel available. Personally, since I don’t drink that much, I realized that as I get older I may not necessarily need an all-inclusive stay. Also, Rooms are divided into ocean-view side and parking-view side, so I recommend checking carefully when making your Reservation. Overall, the Hotel itself felt spacious, very clean throughout, and really pleasant.

The lounge service is excellent.
Upon arrival at the Hotel, you will be welcomed with complimentary lounge service. In addition to soft drinks, beer is also available. A selection of snacks is provided. The Onsen includes an open-air bath that was newly added a few years ago, making it a wonderfully relaxing place to unwind. Several types of relaxation drinks are also available in the bathing area. After your bath, you can take it easy in the relaxation room.

The Luxury of Doing Nothing
Located within a quasi-national park amid the nature of Minamiboso, with beautiful views of the sea and greenery. The Hotel offers an all-inclusive plan with alcohol service, which is great for those who drink; it would be even better if the soft drink selection were more extensive. The Room was comfortable and easy to use, but it was difficult that the temperature was low and could not be adjusted. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay. I will visit again.

Exceptionally cozy
The spacious interior felt open and airy, and everything was impeccably clean. It was good, but…
This was my second stay. Two women stayed, but only one set of cotton pads was provided. At the lounge from 9:00 PM, when the snacks were being changed, the way a male staff member spoke to us felt a bit unpleasant. However, the female staff member at the lounge from 3:00 PM was very pleasant.

Please separate restaurant seating for adults-only guests and guests with children.
I stayed partly for work. Regarding the restaurant: the food was good, with a wide variety of dishes and menu options, but there were so many families with children that I couldn’t enjoy a calm meal, which was disappointing. I would like to visit again, and since the space is large, I hope you could make an effort to separate seating for families with children and groups of adults only. The baths were great, and the staff were wonderful—my only concern was how seating in the restaurant was arranged. Thank you.

A Heartwarming Stay
I stayed on a weekday, and it was truly a heartwarming and wonderful stay from start to finish. From the Room, I had a panoramic view of the beautiful ocean, which alone made for an incredibly luxurious and precious time. For the lounge service, I used the waiting room and was glad I could relax comfortably in such a quiet, calm atmosphere. Perhaps because it was a weekday, the open-air bath and large public bath were not crowded either, so I could unwind and soothe my travel fatigue. The meals were absolutely satisfying. The kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) sushi at dinner and the wine buffet were both great fun with an impressive variety. At breakfast, I finally got to enjoy the combination I had been looking forward to—croissants with unsalted butter and sparkling wine—so it truly felt like a wish come true. And when I tried the freshly minced horse mackerel (aji), I was amazed by how delicious and fresh it was—it felt as if my body filled with energy. Internet access in the guest Room was a bit difficult and I wasn’t able to connect this time, but mobile reception was fine so it wasn’t inconvenient. Above all, what stood out most was how kind everyone on staff was and how wonderfully they took care of me. Thank you for such a blissful time. This is a fantastic Hotel that I would love to return to when visiting Minami-Boso again.

The Room felt very nice, but the TV was old and YouTube was not available.
I’m a returning guest. This time I was very satisfied with the Room, but it was disappointing that the TV was old and I couldn’t watch YouTube. Last time, the TV was newer and I could watch YouTube. However, the staff were wonderful. P.S. There were very few guests this time, but it was very disappointing that the children in the family next door were running around and extremely noisy.
