Minami Aso Onsenkyo Bettei Soan

We traveled around Kumamoto by rental car with my spouse and our two sons, and stayed at Soan in two Rooms. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The staff were kind and attentive, which made us feel truly welcome. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and we felt deeply relaxed after bathing. The Rooms were clean and comfortable, making this Accommodation a great choice for a family trip. I highly recommend it, and would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday trip.This time we chose the “Wa” Room, and it was very spacious and comfortable. The in-room Onsen was a semi-open-air bath, so we could relax and fully enjoy the Onsen.If you walk to the main building, there is a large public bath. Towels are provided, there is also a sauna, and both the water quality and the views were excellent—we used it in both the evening and the morning.We were told Shuttle Service was available, but it was only about a 3-minute walk, so we took a short stroll instead.Meals were served in our Room, and both breakfast and dinner featured plenty of local specialties—we were very satisfied. For dinner, they brought the appetizers first, then later delivered the main dishes and dessert; the timing was just right. It was nicer than having each dish served one by one because we could eat at our own relaxed pace.Since we booked an anniversary Plan, in addition to a regular full meal portion, it included one bottle of sparkling wine for two and a No. 4 whole cake (12 cm), so we were absolutely stuffed.The staff were polite and attentive with just the right amount of distance, making our stay comfortable from start to finish.We would love to return if we have another chance, and it’s an Accommodation I would definitely recommend to others!
