Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay.The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me.From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded.Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort.While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo.The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much.This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel.Thank you very much!

I stayed here on the first day of my trip to Nagasaki. I arrived by limousine bus from Nagasaki Airport and planned to take the bus to Nagasaki Station the next day as well, so the location was extremely convenient with a bus stop nearby. I used the Plan that included admission tickets to Huis Ten Bosch, and it was very exciting to be able to leave my luggage at the Hotel and head to Huis Ten Bosch by boat. The Room had no unpleasant odors or musty smell, and it was clean and comfortable. From the balcony, I had a great view of the streets of Huis Ten Bosch, and I enjoyed a very relaxing time. I also used the Onsen, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were wonderful, helping me fully recover from travel fatigue. The breakfast buffet the next morning offered a wide variety of options, all of which were delicious. I think this is an excellent Hotel that I would wholeheartedly recommend when visiting Huis Ten Bosch. Thank you very much.
