Points/Coupon Service Terms of Use

Date of Establishment: March 13, 2025 (Japan Standard Time)

The "Points/Coupon Service" is a service provided by IKYU Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") in conjunction with services such as the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com." Users who have not registered as members under the "IKYU.com Membership Terms" set by our company cannot use some parts of the Points/Coupon Service. Hereinafter, users who have registered as members are referred to as "Members," users who have not registered as members are referred to as "Guests," and both are collectively referred to as "Members, etc."

Article 1 (Consent)

  • 1. These terms define the conditions for using the Points/Coupon Service and the matters to be observed by Members, etc. When Members, etc. use the Points/Coupon Service, they are deemed to have agreed to these terms.
  • 2. Our company may revise these terms (including the matters described on our company's web pages as stated in Article 3, Paragraph 3; Article 4; Article 7; and Article 10. The same applies hereinafter in this article) without prior notice. If Members, etc. use the Points/Coupon Service after the revision, they are deemed to have agreed to the revised terms.

Article 2 (Types of Points)

  • The points granted to Members, etc. by our company in the Points Service (hereinafter referred to as "Points") are as follows:
  • (1) "IKYU Points" issued by our company
  • (2) "PayPay Points" issued by PayPay Corporation

Article 3 (Granting of Points)

  • 1. Our company grants IKYU Points to Members, etc. who meet all the following conditions. However, in the case of Guests, IKYU Points can only be used immediately for the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com" and will not be granted for other services. Additionally, Guests cannot Earn Points.
  • (1) Use the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com," the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com Overseas," the restaurant reservation service on "IKYU.com Restaurant," or the spa reservation service on "IKYU.com Spa" (including the use of the gift function).
  • (2) Select IKYU Points as the points to be granted at the time of use based on the previous item.
  • 2. Our company grants PayPay Points to Members who meet all the following conditions (Guests are not eligible for PayPay Points).
  • (1) Log in to "IKYU.com" using an ID issued by our company (including IDs linked to external service accounts based on Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the "IKYU.com Membership Terms." The same applies hereinafter in this article).
  • (2) Link the ID issued by our company with the Yahoo! JAPAN ID held by the Member on "IKYU.com."
  • (3) Use the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com" or the restaurant reservation service on "IKYU.com Restaurant" while the above two conditions are completed.
  • (4) Select PayPay Points as the points to be granted at the time of use based on the previous item.
  • 3. For conditions related to Point Rate and other matters regarding the granting of points not covered in the previous two paragraphs, please check our company's web pages.

Article 4 (Use of Points)

  • 1. For conditions regarding the use of IKYU Points, please check our company's web pages.
  • 2. For conditions regarding the use of PayPay Points in the Points Service, please refer to the terms of use and guidelines set by PayPay Corporation. When using PayPay Points for the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com" or the restaurant reservation service on "IKYU.com Restaurant," authentication of the Member's mobile phone number is required. For other usage conditions, please check our company's web pages.

Article 5 (Confirmation of Points)

  • 1. Members can Confirm the Reservation history of granted and used IKYU Points, the balance, and other information related to their IKYU Points on the Member page (My IKYU).
  • 2. Members can confirm the history of granted and used PayPay Points, the balance, and other information related to their PayPay Points in the PayPay app provided by PayPay Corporation or in the account information of the Yahoo! JAPAN ID specified in Article 3, Paragraph 2, Item 2.

Article 6 (Validity Period of Points)

  • 1. The validity period of IKYU Points is until the 9th of the month following one year after the month in which the IKYU Points were granted.
  • 2. For the validity period of PayPay Points in the Points Service, please refer to the terms of use and guidelines set by PayPay Corporation.

Article 7 (Handling of Cancellations)

  • 1. If a Member uses IKYU Points for the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com," the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com Overseas," the restaurant reservation service on "IKYU.com Restaurant," or the spa reservation service on "IKYU.com Spa" (excluding the use of the gift function) and subsequently Cancels the Reservation, our company will return the used IKYU Points to the Member. However, this does not apply to IKYU Points whose validity period has expired at the time of return. For the timing of the return, please check our company's web pages.
  • 2. If a Member uses PayPay Points for the accommodation reservation service on "IKYU.com" or the restaurant reservation service on "IKYU.com Restaurant" and subsequently Cancels the Reservation, the same applies as in the previous paragraph. For the timing of the return, please check our company's web pages.
  • 3. Notwithstanding the previous two paragraphs, if a Member has made a payment for the service using a credit card and is obligated to pay a Cancellation Fee, our company may apply the used points to the Cancellation Fee. If there is a remaining balance of the used points after such application, our company will return the remaining balance to the Member. Please note that the Cancellation Fee paid by the Member due to the cancellation is not eligible for Point Rate.

Article 8 (Cancellation of Points, etc.)

  • 1. Our company may cancel the granting of IKYU Points to Members, etc., or invalidate all or part of the IKYU Points held by Members, etc., if they fall under any of the following:
  • (1) The Member loses their membership qualification for any reason.
  • (2) The Member, etc., violates the Membership Terms or any related terms.
  • (3) The Member, etc., is suspected of receiving IKYU Points through fraudulent means.
  • (4) In addition to the above, our company deems it appropriate.
  • 2. For conditions regarding the invalidation or cancellation of PayPay Points, please refer to the terms of use and guidelines set by PayPay Corporation.

Article 9 (Issuance of Coupons)

  • 1. Our company or third parties partnered with our company may issue coupons (hereinafter referred to as "Coupons") available in the Coupon Service through publication on websites operated by our company or third parties or other methods.
  • 2. The details of the Coupons (including their validity period) will be determined each time by our company or the third parties partnered with our company issuing the Coupons.

Article 10 (Use of Coupons)

Article 11 (Disclaimer of Liability by Our Company)

  • Our company shall not be liable for any damages or issues related to the Points/Coupon Service caused by natural disasters, communication line or computer failures, or other reasons not attributable to our company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 12 (Other Notes)

These Terms is made in Japanese and translated into English. The Japanese text is the original and the English text is for reference purposes. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these two texts, the Japanese text shall prevail.
