Chikuho-Nogata Station × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan

It was the weekend right before the Obon holidays, so every Accommodation was expensive and I was looking for somewhere affordable. Since it was cheap, I didn’t have high expectations, but it was clean, the shampoo and other amenities were POLA, the room size was just right for a solo stay, and I was satisfied with the breakfast curry and bread. I was able to park at a nearby parking lot for only 600 yen. This is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again when I visit Kitakyushu. Thank you very much.

The room was clean, and it was conveniently located just a short walk from the station. Curry breakfast seems to be their specialty, but this time I found the mini bread to be very delicious.

The Accommodation and our Room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. There were many Onsen options—an in-room scenic-view bath, the Facility’s large public bath, an open-air bath, and a family bath—so my Onsen-loving husband and our 6-year-old son enjoyed them so much they went four times a day (laugh). The hospitality of the proprietress and staff was wonderful. I was pregnant, but I was able to truly relax and take it easy during our 2-night, 3-day stay. Also, there is a river very close by where children can play and enjoy nature, so both adults and kids never got bored. It’s an Accommodation we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

I chose this place because it has a large public bath, and I was able to relax and stretch out in the bath to relieve my fatigue, which was great. The cost performance is excellent. However, the mattress on the bed in the Room is a bit firm, so I think it would be better with a slightly more comfortable mattress. Thank you very much.

The bathwater is excellent, but the shower temperature is lukewarm. Also, the WiFi signal was too weak and caused frustration.

This was my first time staying here. The parking lot was spacious and easy to access, and the breakfast selection was plentiful and enjoyable.

When I put a half-finished plastic bottle in the refrigerator, it was interesting to find that about half of it had frozen by the next day. After that, it still froze even when I set the power to the lowest level (though it’s hard for me to see clearly due to presbyopia). Since I usually sleep with three pillows stacked, I asked to borrow an extra pillow. They had a two-tier pillow available, and when I stacked my original pillow on top of it, it became the same height as what I use at home, so I slept very well. It was a clean Hotel, and I had no complaints about the Room size or Facility amenities. The front desk service was also satisfactory. If I had to mention anything, it was a bit disappointing that the scrambled eggs at breakfast were too soft and hard to pick up with chopsticks, and that there were no cotton swabs among the amenities.

It was my first stay in a while, and the Room had been renovated, so it was very clean and comfortable. The flush button on the unit bath toilet and the Room’s air-conditioning controls felt a bit outdated (and hard to use). Also, although the large TV was wall-mounted, I thought it might be better positioned a little higher. I’m rating the Facility and guest room 4 stars. I will stay again.

I stayed with my 4-year-old daughter. There was one double bed, and a simple safety rail was installed on one side to prevent falls. I had my daughter sleep on the rail side and I slept on the other side, which felt safe. The toilet had a child seat attached, and even the toilet paper had kid-friendly illustrations. At the breakfast buffet, children’s chopsticks were casually provided as well, and there were so many moments where we could feel their thoughtful care. It was also a big help that we could borrow a phone charger (there was a QR code in the Room that let us contact the Hotel about various services, and that’s how I found out about charger rentals). Breakfast featured many dishes made with local seafood, and we enjoyed it while finding everything delicious. We took longer because of my child, but the staff supported us without showing any displeasure, which I truly appreciated. The building did feel a bit dated, but overall it was very comfortable to stay here. It’s a wonderful Hotel with attentive touches that anticipate what guests need. When I come to Kitakyushu again, I’ll definitely stay here next time!

The emergency hospital next door meant the sound of ambulance sirens was a bit noticeable, but the Room and service were excellent. Breakfast featured bakery bread, which was affordable, delicious, and very satisfying. However, the Room only had a toothbrush and body sponge as amenities. I initially thought it was simplified, but later noticed additional amenities placed next to the front desk at checkout. A mention during check-in would have been appreciated.

Although it’s an older Hotel, it was clean and I was satisfied. The sofa was old and covered, but it was leather and had a nice character. There didn’t seem to be any restaurants nearby, so I had dinner at the restaurant in the Hotel; both the Japanese and Chinese dishes were delicious.

The Room was spacious and very clean. Meal vouchers are provided, so you can have at least one meal per day. There is also a two-tier refrigerator (with a freezer) and a microwave, which is very convenient. There is also an on-site coin laundry (front-loading). If you are arriving by car, it is convenient because you can drive right up to the front of your Room. We also appreciate the thoughtful gesture of having the air conditioning turned on in this heat.

I have no complaints about any of the points mentioned in the review categories. I truly had a wonderful holiday. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be access to the main tourist spots, but that distance is also what creates the special, out-of-the-ordinary feel—so it’s not really a complaint. The Room was beautifully designed for relaxing, and I was able to spend my time there in complete comfort. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant and welcoming, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Above all, the free-flowing Onsen bath in the Room was outstanding. I love soaking in an Onsen, so it was incredibly relaxing. With traditional Accommodations like this, I often worry about the internet connection, but this time it was very stable. I could use streaming services without any issues. Since this was a Multiple Night Stay, they thoughtfully arranged things so that some menu items wouldn’t overlap. Of course, everything was delicious. The Arita-yaki tableware was also beautiful. It’s not somewhere I can visit often, but I would definitely like to stay here again when I next visit Fukuoka.

This accommodation is for guests traveling by car only. From the outside it looks like a trailer house, but once you open the door, it feels just like a Hotel! During our 3-night stay, we appreciated the daily towel replacement and trash collection. We also received three days’ worth of small frozen meals for free, plus complimentary green tea and black tea—very helpful when we got a little hungry. Amenities were well stocked, and you can choose what you need at the front desk. Laundry facilities were available as well. It was fully booked every day, so an early Reservation is recommended.

I always end up needing a place to stay at short notice, and this Accommodation helps me every time. I always book the Plan with breakfast, and it’s so delicious that I always eat too much.

From the moment we arrived, everyone greeted us with smiles and the service was very pleasant. However, only the two young female staff members at the evening BBQ area seemed to be working in a very unmotivated way. While everyone else provided great service with a smile, that was disappointing. Also, the bath drain in the Room did not work very well. Still, the food was delicious and the Facility was clean, so overall we were satisfied.

We chose this Accommodation because it has a play area for young children. We were satisfied with the Room, Onsen, and more, but the only drawback was that our Room did not have a bath or shower (I’m not sure if this was only the Room we stayed in). I wonder whether other Rooms had one.

I always stay here on business trips. The Facility is clean, and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Above all, the breakfast is delicious. The selection isn’t large, but I always end up eating too much. Most of all, you can’t beat this quality at this price—I wouldn’t choose anywhere else.

A Hotel conveniently located within walking distance of convenience stores and drugstores, with easy access in and out along the bypass. After arriving by car, I wanted to have a cold beer right away, but it was disappointing that there were no alcohol vending machines in the Hotel. Personally, I really enjoyed the clam soup at the dinner buffet.

I used it because I had an early morning. I was concerned to find hair in the bathroom, which made me feel the cleaning wasn’t thorough. The price was low, so I felt it was about what you’d expect.
