Minara Station × Highly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

I stayed here on my first solo trip around Shikoku. I only knew Ehime for its citrus and sea bream rice, but the dishes made with local ingredients served here were unbelievably delicious. They also noted where each ingredient was sourced, which made me want to explore more of Ehime. The Room was amazing with a reservoir view—an incredibly luxurious space. It got plenty of sun and was already very hot even at 5 a.m., so I didn’t spend much time relaxing on the terrace, but walking around the reservoir was very pleasant. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

This was our second stay with our dog, and just like last time, the meals were elaborate and absolutely delicious. Drinks and even an ice cream bar were included, and both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of dishes with very generous portions. The Room with an Onsen bath was spotless and well cleaned. All the staff were pleasant and welcoming, making this stay excellent as well. We have already made another Reservation.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. The large public bath, the private bath, and the meals were all wonderful. Thank you as well for accommodating our allergies. About 20 years ago, we visited with our family on a day trip and used the jungle-themed bath. Now that our children are fully independent, this time it was just the two of us as a couple. The atmosphere of the baths has completely changed, but it still felt somehow nostalgic. In our Room, the thicker curtain did not slide properly, and there was a part we could not close before going to bed. It was also a little disappointing that the toilet and washbasin area felt quite old. Even so, everything—including seeing us off at departure—was excellent, and we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

We originally planned to stay for one night, but because the weather at our next destination didn’t look promising, we decided on a last-minute Multiple Night Stay here. Before staying here, we had been at the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima, and compared with that, this Hotel felt more family-friendly and enjoyable even with children. It’s a little away from the center of Dogo Onsen, but a free retro-style Shuttle Service bus runs regularly, so the distance hardly bothered us. There is a footbath at the entrance of the Hotel that you can enjoy anytime. In the evening, there was also a festival-style fair held next to the souvenir shop area, which delighted our child. The baths are divided between an indoor bath on the 3rd floor and an open-air bath on the 4th floor. Each has its own atmosphere, and it was great being able to enjoy both. The food was delicious and our whole family was very satisfied. The staff were also courteous, so we could relax and feel comfortable throughout our stay. This last-minute Multiple Night Stay turned out to be absolutely the right choice. When we visit Dogo Onsen as a family again, we would definitely like to stay here again—without question. The Dogo Prince Hotel character “Yutama Prince” greeted us at check-in and saw us off at check-out at the entrance. We hope he keeps up the great work!

This is the perfect spa for couples and families. We will definitely come again.

I previously stayed at “KKR Kyoto” and liked it very much, so this time I chose “KKR Dogo.” 1) About a 10-minute walk to Dogo Onsen. 2) Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and excellent. After all, one of the best parts of traveling is the food, and I was very satisfied. However, at breakfast I would have appreciated an explanation about getting refills of rice. Overall: five stars.

The Room, bath, and bedding were all clean, and everything was comfortable—I was very satisfied. The large public bath also had many different types of baths, which I really enjoyed. The lukewarm bath felt great, the sauna was hot, and it helped me recover from fatigue. There were many great points, but the breakfast was especially delicious—I was truly impressed. The seasoning of each dish, the portion sizes, and the freshness were at a level you rarely come across. I’d love to have it again. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen and restaurant. When I visit Matsuyama again, I will definitely stay here. Thank you for taking such good care of me!

A facility combining a bathing complex with Accommodation. Stay in a Room with an open-air Onsen bath and sauna, facing the mountains rather than the road. The bath water is silky and lotion-like, with a perfect temperature that pairs wonderfully with the sauna. The washing area is spacious, and the Room is long and narrow. The large public bath also offers plenty to enjoy: a pot bath, open-air Onsen bath, a reclining bath with about 1 cm of water depth, a carbonated bath, a groundwater (?) bath, an indoor electric bath, and a sauna—ideal for Onsen lovers. Conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from the station.

Although it is a small Hotel, the staff were kind. The amenities were plentiful, and the welcome drink (alcohol) was a nice touch. It was disappointing that dinner was not available, but breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious dishes. The staff were also very helpful, explaining how to enjoy the food and letting us know when items were freshly cooked, which made for a pleasant start to the day.

We stayed as a family of five. The Room was spacious, and we were able to relax. There was also a Shuttle Service for sightseeing, which made our trip very worthwhile. We enjoyed the buffet, and everything was delicious. The Hotel staff were also very helpful. We would like to visit again with our family.

I heard from an acquaintance that this is the best game meat Stays in Shikoku, and I was looking forward to visiting. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and even my usually light-eating companion had seconds. The experience of eating duck hot pot by the hearth and having freshly laid eggs for breakfast was something you can't easily find at other Stays, and I was truly satisfied with the price, wondering if it was really okay to stay at such a price!

The meals were excellent. It was a shame there was no refrigerator or safe.

I booked without realizing it was an unmanned property, but they responded promptly via security cameras and provided excellent support.

This was my first time staying at this type of Hotel. The Room size was more than adequate. I had no particular complaints about the Facility. I like to relax by soaking in the bathtub, and the tub was large enough to stretch out, which was great. If I had to mention one thing, the toilet exhaust fan is noisy, so I think replacing it would leave a better impression. Also, it seems I could have bought drinks by asking at the front desk, but having a vending machine would be more convenient. In this area, there aren’t many Hotels at a price that matches the demand for simply staying cheaply, so I would like to use it again.

We stayed for one night and two days as a family with our small dog. The Komamune accommodation offers a relaxing bedroom (grinding the provided coffee beans yourself is pure bliss!), a dining area for enjoyment (even though it rained slightly, the covered space was no issue, equipped with air conditioning and large windows offering stunning city and sky night views!), a sauna space, and separate toilet & bathroom facilities (the bath allowed for quiet relaxation without hearing family or surrounding noises. However, the dim lighting at the sink might make makeup application challenging for women). Due to allergies, we opted out of meals and rented a grill instead. The staff promptly assisted whenever contacted during its use—truly impressive service! While the microwave was located at the front desk, which made heating frozen food slightly inconvenient, any inquiries were met with immediate responses from their outstanding staff. Sitting on chairs in the garden while watching our dog explore, breathing in fresh air, reading books or enjoying drinks—it was an elegant and beautifully clean space filled with thoughtful design. This accommodation allowed each of us to spend time freely without being bound by schedules—a place where both body and mind were truly fulfilled.
