Takada Station (Kagawa) × Highly rated for customer service and hospitality at Hotel·Ryokan

This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. Day two of my Kagawa trip with my new wife. We headed to “Auberge de Oishi,” an Accommodation I had long hoped to bring her to ever since my previous stay. The oyster dishes I enjoyed a few years ago weren’t available this time due to recent climate-related difficulties in sourcing ingredients, but even so, the cuisine here continues to exceed expectations every visit. It’s not simply a lineup of expensive ingredients—this auberge’s true appeal is the chance to encounter an entirely new dining experience. The space and interior design reflect the owner’s meticulous attention to detail. It has a distinctive atmosphere and palette you won’t find in commercialized large-scale luxury Hotels or typical tourist spots. The staff, including the madam, are friendly yet refined, making your stay all the more fulfilling. Next time, I’d like to return and invite my wife’s parents as well, staying in one of the newly built rooms on the hilltop. If you’re visiting Kagawa, this is a place worth experiencing at least once.

I was quite tired from my pilgrimage journey, but a relaxing bath and a delicious breakfast left me feeling fully refreshed, and I was able to spend the final day of my pilgrimage with a smile. For a pilgrimage trip, there’s nothing better than soothing your fatigue in the large public bath. I stayed at Route Inn for all three nights this time.

I was satisfied with everything—the beds, shower booth, bath, amenities, and the breakfast buffet full of Shikoku specialties. The staff were always smiling and provided excellent service, making my stay very comfortable. The location was also convenient, so getting around was very smooth. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again when I visit Takamatsu.

Conveniently located near airport limousine bus stops and shopping streets. The Room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate large luggage. Breakfast was surprisingly rich and delicious for being complimentary.

I stay here several times a month. During my last visit, the property was being renovated and there was some construction noise. When I mentioned it, the staff promptly stopped the work, and I really appreciated their considerate response. At checkout, the manager even took the time to greet me personally, which was very kind. I’m always satisfied with the pleasant service. I also occasionally use the restaurant, and I feel both the Japanese and Western dishes offer excellent value for money. I would like to continue staying here in the future.

Reserved a Standard Twin Room in the new wing. As others have mentioned, we were upgraded to a better Room. The toilet and bath were separate, so we could relax and enjoy a long soak.> We had dinner on this Plan, but it was not “mini” at all. It was a full course: five appetizers, corn potage, pan-seared grunt with beurre blanc sauce and roasted shrimp, braised beef cheek, dessert, and coffee—everything was absolutely delicious. It would be a shame to stay here and not have dinner! To get to the Hotel we used Setouchi Taxi, and they also gave us a great presentation of recommended sightseeing routes. It was a wonderful trip. I’d definitely like to stay again when I visit Takamatsu.

I stayed here on a business trip. I arrived a bit early, but the Room had already been cleaned, so I was able to check in slightly ahead of time, which made everything afterward go smoothly. The Room was spacious and clean. Thank you very much.

Even for a single stay, the guest Room was spacious and thoughtfully designed. The Room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a wide variety of amenities, and it was fun choosing from them. I especially appreciated that hand cream was provided. The large public bath on the top floor had a great view and was wonderful. Since check-out was at 11:00, it was nice to be able to go again in the morning. At first, I felt the price was slightly high, but overall the quality was excellent, so it definitely felt worth it.

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler. The Hotel and my Room were very clean, and I was able to enjoy the Onsen and large public bath comfortably. Although it was all-inclusive, I chose to add a luxurious dinner and breakfast on both nights, and I was truly impressed that the menus were changed each day. The locally sourced ingredients were delicious, and in particular the olive-fed beef was tender and easy to eat even when well done. Even as a solo guest, the staff treated me warmly. The restaurant staff especially spoke with me with genuine smiles, creating a relaxed atmosphere that left me with wonderful memories of my trip. Thank you very much. The lounge I used after dinner was also very spacious with a great ambiance, and I was surprised by the wide variety of drinks available. They even served udon as a late-night snack, which really gave me a taste of Kagawa. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s warm hospitality. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again when I visit Kagawa.

I came from Kobe on the Jumbo Ferry, and it was very convenient to get around—from the ferry terminal to Takamatsu Station and the covered shopping arcade. Thanks to that, I enjoyed plenty of udon and bone-in chicken. Having Sanuki udon for breakfast was a real highlight.

The service is excellent. Their greetings and thoughtful hospitality truly stand out. My only complaint is that many Chinese guests were staying on the same floor and were making noise in the hallway until late at night.

I stayed at this Hotel again for a live concert in Takamatsu. The location is excellent, with the downtown area nearby, and since the Hotel is on the 9th floor and above, the Room was quiet even though it’s in a lively area. The service was also wonderful. I shipped my luggage in advance, and the staff were polite on the phone and considered my Room request. On the day of arrival, the front desk staff were very kind. When I left for the concert, they saw me off with smiles and said, “Enjoy.” I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

The Facility itself is a bit old, but the welcome drinks (coffee, juice, etc.) available until 11:00 PM are a real treat. The staff’s hospitality is also excellent. When I called the front desk to ask about visiting Kotohira-gu Shrine the next day, they kindly prepared round-trip timetables from Takamatsu Station and a sightseeing map from the station to Kotohira-gu Shrine, which I truly appreciated. The breakfast buffet was satisfying as well, with local dishes included. If I have a chance to visit Takamatsu again, I would like to stay here again.

This was my first stay here. The front desk staff were very kind and attentive, and the Room was spacious and clean, making it very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet were also larger than at other Hotels. Since it is located in the city center, it is convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. I would like to stay here again next time.

The walk from the station is safe, and the location is convenient. It was bright and clean, which I appreciated. There is a large public bath where you can relax and unwind. Even solo female travelers can feel at ease. If the timing works out, you can also use the massage chair. I made a Reservation at short notice the day before, but it was cheaper than other sites with a discount, and payment was on-site, so I felt comfortable using it.

It’s a bit of a walk from Takamatsu Station, but I could see the sea along the way—and amazingly, from the Room too! I was so happy (I’ve been to Takamatsu many times, but I’d only ever seen the sea when crossing the Seto Inland Sea). Kotoden Kawaramachi Station is close, so if walking is difficult, I also recommend taking the Kotoden from Takamatsu-Chikko. Seeing the castle walls and water (the moat?) from inside the retro train was exciting. They kindly stored my luggage with a smile before check-in. There isn’t a large public bath on site, but there’s a public bathhouse nearby. A convenience store is also diagonally across the big road. I really appreciated how affordable the coin laundry was. There was a high-performance massage chair in the lobby, and I used it while doing laundry—my shoulders felt lighter the next day. I was grateful to have drinking water available from the water dispenser. I usually stay closer to the arcade shopping streets, but this location seems convenient for island trips as well, and they also offer free rental bicycles—so I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed at the Onsen with dinner and breakfast included, and it was a great value. There’s a supermarket right in front that stays open late, so you can easily go buy anything you need. Dinner was at Ichinomatsu, and the sashimi and hot pot were filling and delicious. I was happy to have horse mackerel for breakfast, but it was a bit disappointing because it was cold when I expected it to be warm. The Onsen also has a sauna and felt great, but since it’s only open until 11:00 p.m., the timing was pretty tight. It was a Japanese-style room, but it also had its own toilet and washbasin area, so it felt spacious and we could relax comfortably.

This stay was outstanding again. In Takamatsu, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else. The hospitality, cleanliness, and security were all excellent. As always, I had a very comfortable stay and was completely satisfied.
