Takada Station (Kagawa) × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. I stay here every month, and I’m very satisfied—the Facility is well equipped, and the meals are excellent, including freshly fried tempura. The staff’s smiles and service are wonderful, making this Hotel the perfect way to start the day. The other day, I borrowed an umbrella due to a typhoon, but I’m sorry I broke it in the strong winds and heavy rain.

I was quite tired from my pilgrimage journey, but a relaxing bath and a delicious breakfast left me feeling fully refreshed, and I was able to spend the final day of my pilgrimage with a smile. For a pilgrimage trip, there’s nothing better than soothing your fatigue in the large public bath. I stayed at Route Inn for all three nights this time.

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler. The Hotel and my Room were very clean, and I was able to enjoy the Onsen and large public bath comfortably. Although it was all-inclusive, I chose to add a luxurious dinner and breakfast on both nights, and I was truly impressed that the menus were changed each day. The locally sourced ingredients were delicious, and in particular the olive-fed beef was tender and easy to eat even when well done. Even as a solo guest, the staff treated me warmly. The restaurant staff especially spoke with me with genuine smiles, creating a relaxed atmosphere that left me with wonderful memories of my trip. Thank you very much. The lounge I used after dinner was also very spacious with a great ambiance, and I was surprised by the wide variety of drinks available. They even served udon as a late-night snack, which really gave me a taste of Kagawa. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s warm hospitality. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again when I visit Kagawa.

Reserved a Standard Twin Room in the new wing. As others have mentioned, we were upgraded to a better Room. The toilet and bath were separate, so we could relax and enjoy a long soak.> We had dinner on this Plan, but it was not “mini” at all. It was a full course: five appetizers, corn potage, pan-seared grunt with beurre blanc sauce and roasted shrimp, braised beef cheek, dessert, and coffee—everything was absolutely delicious. It would be a shame to stay here and not have dinner! To get to the Hotel we used Setouchi Taxi, and they also gave us a great presentation of recommended sightseeing routes. It was a wonderful trip. I’d definitely like to stay again when I visit Takamatsu.

Even for a single stay, the guest Room was spacious and thoughtfully designed. The Room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a wide variety of amenities, and it was fun choosing from them. I especially appreciated that hand cream was provided. The large public bath on the top floor had a great view and was wonderful. Since check-out was at 11:00, it was nice to be able to go again in the morning. At first, I felt the price was slightly high, but overall the quality was excellent, so it definitely felt worth it.

We stayed four consecutive nights in total—two nights at Mimatsu and two nights at Sakika, Mimatsu’s sister property. Everything was excellent. The standout feature is the large public bath with natural Onsen. It was a little disappointing that bathing hours are limited to 6:00–9:00 and 16:00–24:00, but that is understandable if it is cleaned daily. The dinner and breakfast were also more than satisfactory for the price. Overall, it feels like a well-established and very good Ryokan or Hotel.

This was my second stay at this auberge. I was deeply moved on my previous visit, so this time I brought my family. The simple Room felt very relaxing, and the thoughtfully prepared cuisine was not only delicious but also beautiful to look at. Everyone who served the meals—led by Madame and the chef—was courteous and kind, making both dinner and breakfast truly wonderful. Everything we purchased to take home, including paella, hamburg steak, jam, and cheesecake, was delicious; even now, about a month after our stay, they bring back fond memories of Auberge de Oishi.

Conveniently located near airport limousine bus stops and shopping streets. The Room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate large luggage. Breakfast was surprisingly rich and delicious for being complimentary.

The rooms and facilities are small but provide a satisfying accommodation experience. The dedication of the staff is evident. This is my go-to accommodation in Takamatsu. There is a system to check the congestion in the building via TV, but there is a significant delay in reflecting the crowd status of the baths. The onsen is pleasant, but be prepared for some crowding.

I stayed here on a business trip. I arrived a bit early, but the Room had already been cleaned, so I was able to check in slightly ahead of time, which made everything afterward go smoothly. The Room was spacious and clean. Thank you very much.

I came for a one-night stay to visit the “Sky Shrine” in Kanonji City and enjoy the tenzaru set meal at Kawazoe Honten. The Room overlooked Takamatsu Port, and even the bathroom had a window—an amazing view. Everything was smooth, and it was a wonderful Hotel where I could relax at my own pace. Thank you very much. I’ll be back to stay again.

Of course, this is an evaluation relative to the price, but it was a perfect score. The twin Room was spacious, the beds were large, there was a large public bath, and the massage chairs were high-performance and free. The breakfast buffet was at a level that’s hard to believe for this price.\nDinner (a boxed meal) was poor, but it saved me the trouble of going out to eat, and the all-you-can-drink option for 1,300 yen included draft beer that was delicious. They also had chuhai and whiskey, among others, but I don’t drink much, so draft beer was enough for me.\nI would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

I stayed here during Golden Week. Located in the heart of the downtown area, this Accommodation is surrounded by all kinds of places to eat—delicious and friendly izakayas, and an incredibly good Sanuki udon shop with lines starting from 7:00 a.m.—everything you could want is right there. The sauna also offers fun special “aufguss” events, making it perfect as the destination for a solo male trip or a motorcycle touring finale—you’re sure to enjoy an amazing holiday. Motorcycles can be parked on the first floor.

This stay was outstanding again. In Takamatsu, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else. The hospitality, cleanliness, and security were all excellent. As always, I had a very comfortable stay and was completely satisfied.

We arrived by car. Before check-in, we went to confirm the parking, and the front desk staff kindly advised us that if we planned to take the car out after checking in, the affiliated parking lot would be best, but if not, a nearby coin-operated parking lot might be cheaper. Thanks to that advice, we were able to keep our parking fee low. Thank you very much. The drink service and complimentary breakfast also had a great selection and were delicious. The special dessert financier was especially tasty. We were also happy they had apples. The large public bath operates on a rotating schedule, and when it was the men’s time slot, there seemed to be too few washing stations. It looked like someone entered without washing first, which he found unpleasant. (This is not a complaint about the Hotel—more of an individual issue—but it would be nice if guests could be mindful.) Since there were three of us and we had a lot of luggage, it would have been even better if there had been a simple luggage rack or stand. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you for taking care of us.

I stayed at this Hotel again for a live concert in Takamatsu. The location is excellent, with the downtown area nearby, and since the Hotel is on the 9th floor and above, the Room was quiet even though it’s in a lively area. The service was also wonderful. I shipped my luggage in advance, and the staff were polite on the phone and considered my Room request. On the day of arrival, the front desk staff were very kind. When I left for the concert, they saw me off with smiles and said, “Enjoy.” I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

I came from Kobe on the Jumbo Ferry, and it was very convenient to get around—from the ferry terminal to Takamatsu Station and the covered shopping arcade. Thanks to that, I enjoyed plenty of udon and bone-in chicken. Having Sanuki udon for breakfast was a real highlight.

I stayed here for a live concert trip. The Room was spacious and clean, and I was able to relax comfortably. I really appreciated having an air purifier in the Room. The pajamas were comfortable as well. The staff were kind, and I was happy that the breakfast was delicious, so if I visit Kagawa again, I would definitely like to stay here again.
