"Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto" is a Ryokan with a history dating back to the early Edo period, now run by its 20th generation. It is the closest accommodation to Itsukushima Shrine and the oldest accommodation in Miyajima, welcoming numerous guests over the years.In 1974, it opened a new annex on an elevated location behind the shrine, moving from its original site along Ari-no-Ura beach. The Ryokan has since been dedicated to providing hospitality to visitors of Itsukushima Shrine and guests from across Japan and overseas, allowing them to enjoy Miyajima's natural beauty and rich history. The traditional Japanese Sukiya-style rooms and Setouchi Kaiseki cuisine are among its highlights.
"Grandvrio Hotel Miyajima -Wakura-" is located in Miyajimaguchi, the gateway to Miyajima, one of Japan's three most scenic spots, and the World Heritage Site Itsukushima Shrine. The guest rooms, designed in a modern Japanese style, offer different views depending on whether you choose the sea side or the mountain side. For dinner, enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with a Japanese set meal and a Western-style buffet while gazing at Miyajima and the sea. Breakfast features a "local production for local consumption" concept, offering Japanese set meals along with freshly fried tempura. At the natural Onsen "Miyajima no Yu," unwind in the panoramic large bath or the open-air bath.
