This Hotel is located on the site of the former Shirakawa Elementary School in Kyoto, which closed in 2011 and has over 100 years of academic history since its establishment as an elementary school. The interior, renovated from a Kyoto townhouse over 115 years old, features items from Kyoto-based brands and artists. Unique to this Property are the spacious doma (traditional earthen floor), a hidden mini kitchen, and a tatami living room inspired by a riverside terrace.
