Kashoen combines the charm of a Ryokan with the well-equipped facilities of a Hotel. Starting from July 2024, the "Standard Rooms" and "Comfort Rooms" will be newly completed, and all guest rooms will be fully renovated. Skilled in traditional ink-line marking, Heikichi was known locally as “Sumiya no Hei-san” (“Hei from the ink shop”). From this nickname came the house name Tanpei, later renamed “Tanpei,” and it has since been operated as the oldest Accommodation in Tango Town to this day. The spirit of hospitality of “Sumiya no Hei-san” has been passed down through six generations and continues today.
