About a 2.5-hour drive from central Osaka and Kyoto, Lake Hanareko—the largest freshwater lake in Kyoto Prefecture—lies in the Tango area, where beautiful yet unspoiled scenery remains, close to Ine’s Funaya boat houses and Amanohashidate. “HOTEL & Kotei Soka” is a small Hotel on its shore that celebrated its grand opening in May 2024. Ripples left by waterfowl on the lake, the splash of wildlife diving in, crisp air at dawn, a terrace dappled with willow-filtered light, the colors of the evening sky, abundant local ingredients nurtured by Tango’s climate, carefully selected natural wines, an Onsen to soothe your body—and a welcoming space surrounded by interiors and art curated from what we love. A calm heart and an ideal everyday life await you here.

A new “Betsuyu” has opened on the 5th floor! All four Rooms feature an Onsen panoramic-view bath, and the special suite “Kai” offers 120 m² of space with a private sauna.A cozy seaside Onsen Ryokan designed to create a “memorable journey.” Seaside Satake is located right in front of the crystal-clear Hatchohama Beach, which comes alive as a swimming beach in summer. We also offer in-room dining and private baths, and we are highly rated by families throughout the year. Enjoy stunning views of the Tango Blue Sea of Japan from our ocean-view guest rooms. For dining, savor seasonal Tango cuisine to your heart’s content—fresh seafood, Tajima beef, and winter delicacies such as Matsuba crab.
