This was my first time visiting Amanohashidate, and thanks to all the staff, I had a truly wonderful stay. The Room—including the semi-open-air bath, comfortable changing area, spacious Japanese-style room, living area, and bedroom—was spotless and could not have been better. Everyone on the staff was kind and approachable. The meals were also excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room with an ocean view, where we could relax and enjoy the sunset and evening atmosphere, as well as the sunrise in the morning. Every dish was carefully prepared, with gentle seasoning that we really appreciated. If there is one point for improvement, it would be that the bath water temperature felt a bit lukewarm. For the open-air bath in the Room, it would have been nice to be able to adjust the temperature. If I simply missed an operation panel, I apologize. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. The lobby level and shared areas were very stylish. The room wasn’t brand-new, but it was spacious with a great view, well cleaned, and very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted excellent. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

Three family members in our 70s stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. It’s a Showa-era building, but the Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We could also see a beautiful sunrise from the Room. The location was great, and we took an early-morning walk to Amanohashidate. For dinner, we chose the chef’s omakase Amanohashidate kaiseki course served in our Room, but it was far too much for us in our 70s and we felt sorry for leaving some of it. In hindsight, we should have asked about the menu before choosing the course. The bath had one tub and I recall there were seven or eight faucets and showers. It’s on the small side. It seemed that the men’s bath on the day we stayed was even smaller. The front desk staff answered our questions in a friendly manner. Overall, I think it offers very good value for money.
