Founded in Keio 3 (1867), this Property features a sukiya-style architecture. To pursue the ultimate hospitality, the number of guest rooms was reduced to just three during renovations. While it is a pure Japanese-style building made with Akita cedar in the sukiya style, the reinforced concrete (RC) structure ensures safety and tranquility within the Property. There are no open-air baths in the guest rooms and no elevators in the Property, as it focuses on cuisine and hospitality. Using mainly local ingredients, we offer seasonal delicacies without being bound by tradition. We also pay great attention to tableware, ranging from Kaga maki-e pieces over 100 years old to works by contemporary craft artists, ensuring a visual delight as well. Wi-Fi is available throughout the Property. Allergy-friendly meals are available for even a single guest. Guests under 12 years old are not permitted, allowing you to enjoy a serene adult experience.

Japanese Cuisine Sakaeya is an Onsen accommodation with only 7 rooms, nestled in the lush greenery of Yuwaku Onsen, affectionately known as "Kanazawa's Hidden Retreat." Surrounded by the beauty of nature through all four seasons, guests can enjoy delicate seasonal flavors served in-room while admiring the serene mountain wildflowers. Recognized for its hospitality and exquisite cuisine, it was awarded "Top-Class Comfort" in the Facility category of the 2016 Michelin Guide.

The first-generation owner, Tadayoshi Ota, was a connoisseur so esteemed that Rosanjin described him as "the most notable man in Hokuriku, a national guest of Kanazawa, and a great figure in tea gatherings." It is said that tea masters, connoisseurs, and gourmets, including Dono Masuda, frequently visited from Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, drawn by Tadayoshi's hospitality. His attention to ingredients and dedication to tableware were so exceptional that they were even passed down to "Hoshioka Saryo." As Rosanjin remarked, "He did not use tea as an ornament for himself nor as a business," reflecting the heartfelt and unpretentious hospitality that was the philosophy of Yamanoo. After the war, adapting to changes in lifestyle, "Yamanoo" was reborn as "Kanazawa Yamanoo." The current owner, Tatsuya Motoya, is the fifth generation since Tadayoshi. While time has passed and the name has changed, the spirit of hospitality, "one guest, one pavilion," has been faithfully carried on since its founding.

On the first floor, there is an open dining area that connects to a Japanese-style room facing the garden, as well as two washbasins. The second floor features two elegant Japanese-style rooms with blue and vermilion Juraku walls, one 6-tatami and the other 8-tatami in size.
