Fukutō Station × Accommodation With Relaxing Welcome LoungeHighly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

There were complimentary drinks and ochazuke, and I was happy to receive amenity items for women as well. The in-room bath and toilet were spacious, and there was also a large public bath, so I could relax. Breakfast was very delicious!

This was my second stay. The dinner at Ikaza, which I had on my first visit, was truly delicious, and about 80% of the reason for this stay was the food (it’s that good!). The retro furnishings and overall atmosphere of this long-established Matsumoto Hotel are also charming and full of character (some parts do feel old, but that’s part of its appeal). It’s also in a great location with easy access to Nawate Street, museums, and Matsumoto Castle, making it a very convenient Hotel. I’d love to come back again to refresh.

The complimentary tea and snacks, the large public bath, and the late-night snack service (the soba noodles were delicious) were all wonderful. The staff were cheerful and kind, and I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Matsumoto. Breakfast was also very tasty!

Our family of three stayed one night in a four-person room. There weren’t many other nearby accommodations that seemed satisfying, so to be honest we chose this hotel by elimination. In fact, the property itself feels its age, and the bathroom and toilet facilities in the room have a rather classic feel. However, the meals—both dinner and breakfast—were outstanding. We chose Japanese cuisine for dinner, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about: the taste, number of dishes, presentation, and tableware were all excellent. Breakfast was buffet-style as well, with plenty of local specialties—you’ll almost certainly end up eating too much. The surroundings around the hotel are wonderful too, but these days you can’t rule out bears appearing, so unfortunately we kept our outing close by. They don’t seem to market themselves as an auberge-style property, but we were happy to have found a hotel with truly delicious food.

It’s definitely not the newest Hotel, but it was well cleaned and comfortable. Personally, I appreciated that even though it’s a unit bath, there was plenty of space around the toilet and enough room to move comfortably to the bathtub. The location near Matsumoto Station was very convenient, and I was satisfied with the price range, so I’d like to stay again. There are only two evening bus services to the Onsen, but if you want to go out for drinks in Matsumoto at night you can’t use them at all, so I would have been happy if there were also one early-morning service.

This was my second stay, and once again I was reminded what a truly wonderful property this is. All the staff are always smiling, quick to help, and courteous, making my stay comfortable again this time. The Onsen was exceptional—not only the quality of the water, but also the spotless interior and beautiful views made it a perfect time to unwind. And as a Dormy Inn fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the post-bath ice pops and probiotic drink at the relaxation area, as well as the famous “Yonaki Soba,” all just as delicious as ever. Whenever I stay in Matsumoto, I will definitely choose this place again!

This was our second stay, following last year. Not only are the location and atmosphere excellent, but the staff’s hospitality was also attentive and truly pleasant. We felt warmly welcomed and were able to relax. In addition, the lounge is very convenient, and there is also a shuttle service to the hot springs (reservation required). Highly recommended.

I’ve stayed here several times. It’s conveniently located near the station, and both the Hotel exterior and the Room are clean and comfortable. When I leave my luggage, the staff always assist me pleasantly, which I really appreciate. They also offer ramen as a late-night snack and ice cream, which is perfect when you want a little something after dinner.

The complimentary drinks (including plenty of alcohol) and breakfast were excellent. With those Facilities and that level of service at such a low price, it was outstanding. If I had to mention one thing, the washing area in the Onsen is small, so it would be appreciated if women’s hours could be longer.

We stayed as a parent and child for my son’s university entrance exams. ■ Warm hospitality for exam takers At check-in, the staff asked, “Are you here for exams?” and gave us a small gift. My son, who was feeling nervous, seemed relieved by the thoughtful gesture, and I’m truly grateful as a parent. ■ Excellent amenities and a comfortable Room The amenity bar was well stocked—my son especially liked the bath salts and was able to relax. I also tried a face mask for the first time in my life! Even as an older guy (haha), it felt very refreshing after a bath. We were assigned a corner connecting Room, which allowed us to maintain privacy while still being close enough—making our stay extremely comfortable. ■ Great location It’s close to the station, with plenty of restaurants nearby, so we had no trouble at all even with a Plan without dinner. ■ A small suggestion for the future Winter in Matsumoto was drier than expected, so having hand cream among the amenities would make it even better! Thanks to the kindness of all the staff, my son was able to take his exam in great condition. We would definitely like to stay again when we visit Matsumoto. Thank you very much!

My husband and I visited Nagano on short notice. There were no reasonably priced twin Rooms at Hotels in Matsumoto, so we made a Reservation for two single Rooms. We were grateful just to be able to book, so we didn’t make any special requests, but you prepared adjacent Rooms for us. I truly appreciate your thoughtful consideration. Thank you very much!

Arrived at 2:00 PM; the room was ready, so check-in was OK. The parking lot is a 1-minute walk away. A convenience store is a 3–4 minute walk away near Matsumoto Castle. It’s a bit far from the station, but there are several restaurants nearby. There were more inbound travelers than expected. It was a hotel where I could relax.

I used this hotel as a base for touring routes such as the Venus Line. It’s convenient, about an hour from Utsukushigahara. On the first floor of the annex right next to the main building, there is covered parking, and when the staff noticed I was on a motorcycle, they guided me there—something riders will really appreciate. The room and bath felt like a typical business hotel—neither particularly good nor bad. The covered parking alone makes the facilities top marks for me, though. Breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. However, compared with another hotel I stayed at last week that offered an even lower rate plus seafood rice bowls, soba noodles, and curry from breakfast onward, I’m deducting one star.
