The food was delicious no matter what we tried, and the tableware was stylish as well. The portions were just right, and it was thoughtful that there were additional menu options. The evening mini concert was interactive and fun. The Room and bath were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay very comfortable.

The antique-inspired lobby interior was beautiful. The Room was also comfortable. Meals were served in a private dining room, and since it was next door, it was convenient. The food was delicious and at the standard level for this type of Ryokan. The Onsen is not large, but it wasn’t crowded, so I could relax and enjoy it.

It was a wonderful trip that let us enjoy an extraordinary escape. The Ryokan was charming and full of character. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were completely satisfied. We are truly grateful to the proprietress and everyone for their hospitality. Thank you very much. The soba with freshly grated wasabi was the best!

With its folk-style furniture and wood-accented interior, it feels very calm and relaxing. We also tried dinner for the first time on this trip, and we were completely satisfied with both the presentation and the quality of the meal.

This was my first time staying here. Baths: There were many types of tubs and saunas. Meals: We ate in the large hall; there was a wide menu selection, service was quick, and everything was delicious. Room: It was a clean Hotel. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, so you can’t fine-tune the temperature—something to note if that bothers you. Staff: Everyone was courteous and helpful. If I had to be picky… 1) Ordering meals in the large hall can feel a bit inconvenient for some people. A smartphone and LINE are required. After selecting one item, the screen returns to the home page, so you have to choose again from the categories. It could be tough with a larger group. 2) The lockers for overnight guests in the bath area are quite small, and their location is tucked away, which made them inconvenient to use. I really liked how relaxed it felt as a Hotel attached to a health spa—easygoing without being too formal. I’d love to visit again.

Stayed for two nights and three days. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The Room is old but clean, and we were able to relax comfortably. We were satisfied with the meals on both the first and second days; personally, we preferred the second day’s meal. The breakfast buffet was also quite good. The baths were excellent—both the washing area and the tub were spacious. The open-air bath was at just the right temperature, so you could stay in for ages. We especially appreciated the luggage service: if you leave your bags at an affiliated Hotel near the station, they deliver them to this Hotel, and on departure they send them back to the affiliated Hotel, making sightseeing much easier without heavy luggage.

Conveniently located near the station, with plenty of options for dinner nearby, and parking close by as well. The bath was great, with two tubs at different temperatures. What I especially liked was the non-buffet breakfast—it felt like we were treated to delicious local specialties from Shinshu that we don’t often get to try. I’d love to stay again.

True to its name as an Accommodation with Onsen, the hot springs left our skin silky smooth and helped us feel refreshed. The hospitality was also attentive, and thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

We gathered from various places to celebrate our elderly parent's birthday and stayed for one night. First, we relaxed together in the private bath while watching the clouds drift by. The specially prepared sparkling water was a delightful touch. The Onsen made us quite hungry, so we chose a small portion gourmet plan considering my mother, but it left us all fully satisfied. We were touched by the thoughtful celebration gesture from the accommodation, and the mulberry jam we purchased at the shop on our way home was delicious as well. During our stay, whether it was walking freely on the spacious tatami or feeling the warmth of the staff, there was always a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you very much!

We stayed here as a couple on a trip to Matsumoto. We made a Reservation at this Hotel because we were looking for a guest Room near Matsumoto Castle with an open-air bath and private dining. It was close to the castle, and we arrived without getting lost. Both the building and the Room were very well cleaned and felt spotless. The view from the Room was also great. We enjoyed our meal in a private room, and everything was delicious. We chose the dining Plan for guests aged 50 and over, and the portion size was just right. Since there aren’t many shops nearby, we bought drinks from the vending machine inside, but there was only one machine, so the selection was limited. Overall: 5 stars. I usually buy towels with the Hotel name when I stay somewhere, but I forgot this time—so when we visit Matsumoto again, we’ll be happy to stay here again.

We stayed over a three-day weekend and were very satisfied with both the Facility and the service. It turned into a last-minute trip and we made our Reservation on the day of our stay, but this Ryokan was more comfortable than the Accommodation Fee would suggest. Meals: Breakfast featured a wide variety of dishes made with local ingredients. Everything was delicious. Room: The Room was clean and spacious enough for two people. Being able to replace the hand towels was a small touch, but I really appreciated it. Baths: We bathed twice, morning and evening. We were grateful that we could Reserve a private bath by phone before check-in. Every bath was very clean; none were particularly large, but they felt calm and relaxing. Because the shower water was also Onsen water, the water pressure was weak, but it didn’t bother me much. Inside the Accommodation: Every staff member greeted us with a smile whenever we passed by. We also enjoyed how much there was to see—there’s a pond inside, as well as a beautifully maintained courtyard with an ashiyu (footbath). Since I don’t often buy souvenirs at a Ryokan, I’m glad I could purchase cider made at the on-site winery.

It is not a luxury Hotel, but the Room interior and carpets were clean, there was hardly any noise, and we were able to relax as a couple. Asama Onsen may be small, but we enjoyed it at a comfortable water temperature and could take our time. The staff were also kind and left us with a very positive impression.

The Accommodation itself is old, but the housekeeping staff here are truly excellent. The windows are spotless right down to the frames, and even the balcony—where dust can easily build up—is sparkling clean from corner to corner. It has also been renovated, so there’s none of that musty smell typical of older Accommodations. The Onsen isn’t large, but it’s clean and very pleasant as well—I enjoyed it so much that I used it twice, once at night and once in the morning. The front desk staff are courteous too, and this is an Accommodation I can confidently recommend.

I stayed here the night before my trip to Kamikochi. I arrived a little early, but the staff kindly accommodated me and let me into my Room ahead of time. Thank you very much.

It was a Japanese-style Room. It was larger than expected, which made us happy. We had a lot of luggage for the kids, so the spacious Room was very helpful. Everyone was very kind, and the service was polite and excellent. Breakfast was delicious as well. The staff spoke kindly to the kids there too, and they were delighted. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay since 2018. As always, every dish at dinner was delicious, and I was very satisfied. The hospitality was also wonderful, and I truly appreciated the advice for visiting Matsumoto Castle the next day. Thanks to your guidance, we were able to sightsee smoothly without feeling the heat too much. If I have the opportunity again, I would love to stay with you in a different season. The Asama Onsen district spreads across the eastern part of Matsumoto City, climbing up the foothill slope. The Accommodation is built on the hillside, and the road in front of the entrance is only one lane wide. After leaving your luggage at the Accommodation, you move to the parking area via a narrow alley-like passage about 2 meters wide. If you have a larger car, it seems better to enter from another wider road, park there first, and then carry your luggage. This is an old Accommodation; the furniture and fittings are also old but of good quality, carefully maintained, and immaculately cleaned. The hospitality feels heartfelt; while some younger staff may seem a little awkward, they are poised and dignified. You can sense the refined quality of a prestigious Accommodation. The Room—created by combining two rooms into one—has well-chosen furniture and furnishings. It is calming and comfortable. In the in-room bath, hot natural spring water flows directly from the source; unless you truly love very hot baths, you will want to add cold water to adjust it. For smaller guests, it is deep enough to soak up to your shoulders and long enough to stretch out your legs. Opening the large window facing the garden lets in wonderfully refreshing air. The large public bath and private bath are spacious with a comfortable temperature. The lockers are solid as well. A table adapted from a lacquered low dining table is paired with chairs that are easy to sit on. The dishes brought to your Room one after another at just the right timing are genuine gourmet cuisine—anticipation and satisfaction continue throughout. Allergy accommodations and requests regarding disliked ingredients were handled perfectly. Interestingly—and elegantly—the menu does not list the head chef’s name. There is a separate bedroom with very comfortable beds. It is quiet.

We used it as a touring base for the Venus Line. It is a homely Ryokan. Both meals were served in the Room, allowing us to enjoy them without worrying about others. We were able to savor delicious homemade dishes, including Shinshu beef. The bath was not large, but it was clean and comfortable. The cost performance is excellent. It is a Ryokan that makes you want to use it again next time.

The building felt a bit old, but it was very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, and I would love to stay here again.

Both dinner and breakfast can be served in a private dining room. Dinner features a delicious artisan course meal made with local ingredients. Every staff member was wonderful, which made our trip even more satisfying. At breakfast, they noticed that one of the four of us is left-handed and thoughtfully set out left-handed chopsticks and a chopstick rest—truly professional attention to detail. The Facility is also well maintained and spotless. The farewell was heartfelt, and our children were moved as well. I felt this Hotel has an exceptionally high level of staff. I was surprised to receive first-class service at such an affordable rate. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.
