On my first trip to Matsumoto, I was grateful to be welcomed with a smile. They also stored my luggage for me in the early afternoon. The Room and bath were well cleaned and comfortable. The shampoo, hand soap, etc. were POLA products. The TV was fairly large for the Room, and I enjoyed watching the Hanshin vs Yakult game. However, once I turned off the TV and it got quiet, I could clearly hear the neighboring guest’s voice—perhaps the walls are thin. That was a bit disappointing, but I was tired and fell asleep quickly, so it wasn’t a problem for me.

We stayed over a three-day weekend and were very satisfied with both the Facility and the service. It turned into a last-minute trip and we made our Reservation on the day of our stay, but this Ryokan was more comfortable than the Accommodation Fee would suggest. Meals: Breakfast featured a wide variety of dishes made with local ingredients. Everything was delicious. Room: The Room was clean and spacious enough for two people. Being able to replace the hand towels was a small touch, but I really appreciated it. Baths: We bathed twice, morning and evening. We were grateful that we could Reserve a private bath by phone before check-in. Every bath was very clean; none were particularly large, but they felt calm and relaxing. Because the shower water was also Onsen water, the water pressure was weak, but it didn’t bother me much. Inside the Accommodation: Every staff member greeted us with a smile whenever we passed by. We also enjoyed how much there was to see—there’s a pond inside, as well as a beautifully maintained courtyard with an ashiyu (footbath). Since I don’t often buy souvenirs at a Ryokan, I’m glad I could purchase cider made at the on-site winery.

A clean Hotel near Matsumoto Castle. At night, you can enjoy a free beef bowl, and the breakfast was also very delicious, with curry and Nozawana rice among the options. There is also a nice bath on the first floor. I saw comments saying there aren’t many restaurants nearby, but if you walk a little toward the station, there are plenty of places to eat, so it wasn’t inconvenient. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the parking fee of 1,000 yen. When I took a morning walk to Matsumoto Castle, I noticed that nearby coin-operated parking lots are a bit cheaper. Even so, it’s an affordable and great Hotel. I will stay again.

We gathered from various places to celebrate our elderly parent's birthday and stayed for one night. First, we relaxed together in the private bath while watching the clouds drift by. The specially prepared sparkling water was a delightful touch. The Onsen made us quite hungry, so we chose a small portion gourmet plan considering my mother, but it left us all fully satisfied. We were touched by the thoughtful celebration gesture from the accommodation, and the mulberry jam we purchased at the shop on our way home was delicious as well. During our stay, whether it was walking freely on the spacious tatami or feeling the warmth of the staff, there was always a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you very much!

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in late August while sightseeing around Suwa, Matsumoto, Kamikochi, and Azumino. The Hotel still feels new and was very clean, and the in-room Facility was well equipped with nothing lacking. The bathroom in particular had a large bathtub, making it spacious and comfortable even just for taking a shower. We had breakfast, and while the selection wasn’t huge, each item was delicious. We especially enjoyed the creative touches such as smoothies made with Nagano-grown fruit and freshly baked waffles. The staff were also extremely courteous. We accidentally soiled some linens due to our own carelessness, but when we mentioned it at checkout, they kindly accepted it without any additional charges. As for amenities, there were no toner or lotion provided, but I think it’s not an issue if you bring your usual ones. Room cleaning is once every three days, but towels are replaced daily. However, it was a bit disappointing that the bath mat wasn’t replaced. Also, the system of leaving trash bins and used towels outside the door as-is was a little hard to understand at first. There are many supermarkets around the Hotel area where we could buy local prepared foods and souvenirs at reasonable prices. There was also a nearby ultra-discount supermarket called Lamu that I’d been wanting to visit personally, so I was glad I could go. By car, Matsumoto city center and Suwa are about 30 minutes away, and Kamikochi and Azumino can be reached in about an hour—very convenient. The pricing felt fair overall, and we were able to use a hometown tax donation coupon as well, which made it an excellent value. We had a very comfortable stay and would love to use this Accommodation again if we have another opportunity.

We stayed as a parent and child for my son’s university entrance exams. ■ Warm hospitality for exam takers At check-in, the staff asked, “Are you here for exams?” and gave us a small gift. My son, who was feeling nervous, seemed relieved by the thoughtful gesture, and I’m truly grateful as a parent. ■ Excellent amenities and a comfortable Room The amenity bar was well stocked—my son especially liked the bath salts and was able to relax. I also tried a face mask for the first time in my life! Even as an older guy (haha), it felt very refreshing after a bath. We were assigned a corner connecting Room, which allowed us to maintain privacy while still being close enough—making our stay extremely comfortable. ■ Great location It’s close to the station, with plenty of restaurants nearby, so we had no trouble at all even with a Plan without dinner. ■ A small suggestion for the future Winter in Matsumoto was drier than expected, so having hand cream among the amenities would make it even better! Thanks to the kindness of all the staff, my son was able to take his exam in great condition. We would definitely like to stay again when we visit Matsumoto. Thank you very much!

It was conveniently located near the station, making it an excellent choice for traveling with my elderly mother. The property was clean, and thanks to the good windows, we were not bothered by outside noise. We also enjoyed the view from our Room. It was a great base for sightseeing in Matsumoto in midsummer. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the Chinese dishes.

When visiting Utsukushigahara and Matsumoto Castle for the first time, we chose Miyamaso mainly because it had the best room rate. Since it was so reasonably priced, we were a little worried at first... But after staying there, it was great!! The meals were especially good. There was more than enough food, and everything was delicious!! Next year we’d like to visit Kamikochi, and we’re hoping to stay here again.

We stayed here as a couple on a trip to Matsumoto. We made a Reservation at this Hotel because we were looking for a guest Room near Matsumoto Castle with an open-air bath and private dining. It was close to the castle, and we arrived without getting lost. Both the building and the Room were very well cleaned and felt spotless. The view from the Room was also great. We enjoyed our meal in a private room, and everything was delicious. We chose the dining Plan for guests aged 50 and over, and the portion size was just right. Since there aren’t many shops nearby, we bought drinks from the vending machine inside, but there was only one machine, so the selection was limited. Overall: 5 stars. I usually buy towels with the Hotel name when I stay somewhere, but I forgot this time—so when we visit Matsumoto again, we’ll be happy to stay here again.

Everyone at the Ryokan was very courteous, which was wonderful. As it was in season, I really enjoyed tasting plenty of matsutake mushrooms and other varieties. Dinner was a bit early, but it made the evening feel longer, which I liked. It also happened to coincide with the once-a-year festival, so I felt lucky. The hinoki cypress bath in the Room was also great. We stayed in the Pine Room, and for two people it felt very spacious. I had seen Reviews about shower issues, but on the first day hot water came after running it for about five minutes, and on the second day it worked smoothly right away. Water pressure was not a problem. There are a few stairs up to the Pine Room, so if you’re not comfortable with stairs, I think choosing a lower-floor Room would be better. I didn’t make it to the bar at night, but I caught a glimpse of it and it had an amazing atmosphere. It may be cold when moving around in winter, but I think that adds to its charm. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Matsumoto City. Thank you!

My husband and I visited Nagano on short notice. There were no reasonably priced twin Rooms at Hotels in Matsumoto, so we made a Reservation for two single Rooms. We were grateful just to be able to book, so we didn’t make any special requests, but you prepared adjacent Rooms for us. I truly appreciate your thoughtful consideration. Thank you very much!

We stayed here as a couple in our early 50s. The Accommodation was spotless down to every corner, and we had a very comfortable stay. [Room & Bath] The Room with an open-air bath had truly breathtaking views, and we enjoyed the bath three times—after arrival, before bed, and again the next morning. The water temperature was a little on the lukewarm side, so it sometimes felt slightly chilly if we stayed in for a long time, but it was still very relaxing. We also appreciated the spacious wash area with a large mirror, which made getting ready in the morning very easy. [Dining] For dinner, we had the “HAKKO Yaki-Shabu Course.” The main yaki-shabu was exquisite—the meat practically melted in our mouths! The shiitake mushrooms and fried potatoes were also delicious, with carefully crafted flavors you wouldn’t normally get at home. We were fully satisfied all the way through to the ochazuke to finish and dessert. For breakfast, we enjoyed the “Onigiri Bento” while taking in the wonderful view. The portion size was slightly modest, but it was just right for us as a couple. The piping hot roasted green tea was rich and very tasty. We were also delighted by thoughtful touches such as complimentary mineral water—this is a wonderful Accommodation where we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

With the Early Bird 60 discount, we were able to stay at a very reasonable price. One hair dryer in the large public bath changing area was broken, so we had to wait for one to become available. The Room and the Facility overall are old, but well maintained and clean. The meals included all-you-can-drink, so we could drink without hesitation, and the food was fairly tasty for the price. However, it was disappointing that the next day’s tennis tournament social gathering had exactly the same dishes. It’s not really suited for a Multiple Night Stay.

I stayed here the night before my trip to Kamikochi. I arrived a little early, but the staff kindly accommodated me and let me into my Room ahead of time. Thank you very much.

I made a last-minute same-day Reservation and stayed here. Thank you for welcoming me. My luggage was heavy, so being able to park right in front was a big help. The Room’s bathroom and toilet were clean, and the Room size was just right. I also appreciated the bath chair, which is often not provided. However, it seemed there was no hair dryer in the Room, and that was the only inconvenience; everything else was great. Since it was a same-day Reservation, the view from the Room was disappointing, but I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. Thank you very much.

The large public bath was clean and very nice.\nWe enjoyed the well-equipped recreational area on the first floor, including table tennis.\nWe were satisfied with the service.

It was a charming Accommodation full of character. From the moment we stepped inside, it had a comforting atmosphere. The staff responded to our questions thoroughly, so we were able to spend the night feeling at ease. Breakfast was plentiful, but delicious, and we finished it all.

We stayed as a family. The front desk staff were kind and courteous, which made us feel at ease. For parking, we unloaded our luggage in the lot across from the Hotel and left the car key at the front desk. There are many izakaya nearby, so finding dinner wasn’t a problem, but it was so crowded that you may not get into popular places without a Reservation. If we have the chance, we would like to stay again.

I’ve stayed here several times, but since it was Silver Week, I was assigned to the farther parking lot for the first time. It may be a little hard to find, but they do secure parking spaces, which was reassuring. The staff were very courteous, and the Room was spacious and clean, so I felt comfortable staying here. I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.
