The lush greenery outside your window will surely soothe your soul. For bathing, we provide two options: a large public bath and an open-air bath. Surrounded by greenery, you can enjoy the gentle sulfur spring waters while breathing in fresh air at our scenic baths. Dinner features kaiseki cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients from Shinshu such as Shinshu beef and mountain vegetables. The freshness of locally sourced ingredients will leave you truly satisfied. At "Keikoku no Yu," our accommodation brimming with Japanese charm, immerse yourself in moments of tranquility amidst vibrant greenery.

Located on a hilltop, our guest rooms on the upper floors and the open-air baths on the top floor offer breathtaking views of the majestic mountain ranges of Northern Shinshu. In the spring of 2021, we opened guest rooms with open-air baths featuring natural hot spring water, which have been highly praised. As an annex of the historic "Shinshu Yudanaka Onsen Yorozuya," which has been welcoming guests since the Edo Kansei era, this new accommodation will be reborn on March 1, 2024. The previous Matsusho-so was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2003 and cherished by many until it was lost to fire in 2021. Despite this loss, with encouragement from numerous supporters, we are proud to announce its revival as the new "Matsusho-so" on March 1, 2024. The building incorporates design elements of the original Matsusho-so while embracing traditional Sukiya architecture that harmonizes with nature. Each room features a private open-air bath overlooking a small garden where guests can enjoy seasonal landscapes. We have created a space that feels "new yet somehow nostalgic." A new encounter, a single story. Kanbayashi Hotel Senjukaku. The story began with an encounter. It was in 1929 (Showa 4) when the first president of Nagano Electric Railway, Tohei Kozu, met Lieutenant Helseth from Norway. This meeting in Kanbayashi brought together European and Japanese cultures, creating an entirely new culture or space. It was a groundbreaking event where the culture of a Western-style Hotel was incorporated into a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan for the first time. Furthermore, this encounter became the prologue to the development of Kanbayashi Onsen and Shiga Kogen, now renowned as one of Japan's leading international resorts.
