Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.
Shibu Onsen is a charming hot-spring town known for its atmospheric streets and nine public bathhouses to visit. At “Sakaeya,” you can enjoy gentle, free-flowing Onsen water blended from two different hot springs.Another highlight is the creative Japanese kaiseki cuisine that goes beyond the ordinary.
