Surrounded by the lush greenery of Matsukawa Valley, cherished by many literary figures, Yamada Onsen, known as the "inner parlor of Zenkoji-daira," continues to convey the classic and charming atmosphere of onsen through Yamada-kan, a property with over 210 years of history.

Shibu Onsen is a charming hot-spring town known for its atmospheric streets and nine public bathhouses to visit.At “Sakaeya,” you can enjoy gentle, free-flowing Onsen water blended from two different hot springs.Another highlight is the creative Japanese kaiseki cuisine that goes beyond the ordinary.

Located on a hilltop, our guest rooms on the upper floors and the open-air baths on the top floor offer breathtaking views of the majestic mountain ranges of Northern Shinshu.
