From the dream of one couple, BUCKEYE HOUSE was born—a private rental villa limited to one group per day. This villa was created by renovating an old mansion that had been dormant for decades on the shores of Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. Clearing the grove of trees that once separated the lakeside from the mansion, a wooden deck terrace was built, revealing a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji in a miraculous composition. 'The lofty peak of Fuji in Suruga, No matter how often I see it, I never tire of it.' These are the words of Takahashi no Mushimaro, a poet from the Nara period. Why not experience the same timeless sentiment here, 1,500 years later?"

Opened in July 2023. A rental villa where you can stay with your beloved dog. There are two villas: one with a gray and black theme, and the other with a silver and white theme. The room layouts are identical. Located just a 4-minute walk to the shores of Lake Yamanaka with a view of Mt. Fuji, and a 6-minute walk to terrace-seating pet-friendly restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores. The villa features a private grassy dog run, BBQ facilities, pet amenities, an outdoor faucet shower, and an oversized projection screen. Enjoy walks with your dog around the lakeside or outdoor experiences on the lake that allow dogs to join.
