Kawaji lies along the Aizu Nishi Kaido, a historic route. Located near Nikko, long renowned as a sightseeing destination, it once served as a key passage linking Edo and Aizu in Oshu. The Onsen that springs up in Kawaji was also valued for helping with injuries, giving rise to the saying, “For wounds, Kawaji; for burns, Taki,” and it became a place of therapeutic bathing where many travelers soothed their fatigue. Building on this legacy today, we are renewing our property as “Iwai Yado Ju-an,” aiming to be a hidden Accommodation in Kawaji where guests from afar can relax with ease and melt away everyday tiredness. With magnificent nature 펼 펼 before you, we hope you will forget time and gently warm your memories and heart.

The Ryokan Warakuyuen, located in the Shiobara Onsenkyo of Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture, features the open-air Onsen "Shiwakeshi no Yu" with natural spring water and a large garden that promotes relaxation. The cuisine includes Kaiseki meals made with seasonal ingredients. Vegetables harvested from our own fields and homemade miso provide a rich flavor not found in pre-made products. Agricultural experiences and wild vegetable picking activities are also very popular. Experience the blessings of nature at Warakuyuen.
