Established in 1878 as Japan's first full-scale Resort Hotel in Miyanoshita, Hakone, Fujiya Hotel began with a single Western-style building constructed by its founder, Sennosuke Yamaguchi. Over time, through numerous expansions and renovations, it has become a grand architectural symbol of Hakone. Having overcome many challenges, including natural disasters, much of the building was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 1997. After more than two years of extensive renovations, the "new" Fujiya Hotel reopened in 2020. While preserving its timeless charm and design along with its spirit of hospitality, we continue to create new history as a pioneer among classic hotels to provide an even more comfortable and relaxing experience for our guests.

Yumoto Fujiya Hotel is located at the gateway to the Yumoto Onsen area, one of the Hakone Seven Hot Springs, cherished since the Edo period. "Shiki no Yuzashiki" Musashino Bekkan is a Property located on a hill in Miyanoshita Onsen, surrounded by bamboo groves. The interior features tatami flooring, allowing guests to relax in yukata and tabi socks. Dinner is a kaiseki meal centered around seafood, with the popular "Grilled Live Abalone" as a highlight.

Aura Tachibana was renewed and reopened on December 28, 2008, to mark its 60th anniversary. "Aura" means "gentle breeze" in Greek. With the concept of allowing guests to feel the refreshing breeze of Hakone throughout the Property, we offer comfortable spaces such as Rooms, the sky terrace, the garden terrace, and the dining area. Bansuiro Fukuzumi is a historic Onsen accommodation in Hakone Yumoto, established in 1625 during the Kan'ei era, with its own private hot spring source. During the late Edo to Meiji periods, it hosted notable figures such as the 15th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu, Yukichi Fukuzawa, Hirobumi Ito, and Takamori Saigo. In 2002, it became the first active Ryokan to be designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
