Kasukawa Station × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan

We stayed to celebrate a birthday. The Shuttle Service between the nearest station and the Hotel for both arrival and departure was extremely helpful, and we truly appreciated the driver’s hospitality. We were very satisfied with the Room and the private bath, the meals were delicious, and all of the staff were warm and welcoming, allowing us to relax at ease. We would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

The guest rooms, the Hotel facilities, and the dining—everything is wonderfully artistic. Before dinner, I joined an in-house art tour, which was fantastic; I really enjoyed learning about the Hotel’s history, the renovation process, and behind-the-scenes stories leading up to its opening. Dinner was outstanding—each dish by Chef Katayama was delicate, beautiful, and absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the lounge both before and after dinner, with great drinks and snacks; the beef jerky was exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine and beer as well. Breakfast was a delicious Japanese meal made with ingredients from Gunma. This is a Hotel I would definitely love to visit again if I have the chance.

Both the meals and the room were excellent.

I’ve stayed here many times, and it’s always a clean, easy-to-use Hotel. The moment I arrived at my Room, I couldn’t help saying out loud, “Dormy Inn really is great,” and felt relieved. My friend who came with me felt the same way. There are so many good points: how practical the Room is, the spacious desk and sink area, the brightness, the large public bath Onsen, having all the necessary amenities, and breakfast with a wide variety of delicious options served in small dishes that are easy to pick up. The only disappointing thing this time was that the coffee didn’t taste good. Also, the door to the women’s public bath was left open. I would appreciate it if you could improve these two points. Thank you very much.

I stayed on a windy day. Although I lit the fire in the outdoor fire pit, sparks were flying everywhere due to the wind, so I quickly put it out. The strong wind made it feel very cold, and I couldn't stay outside for long to tend to the fire, which was a bit disappointing. For the barbecue grill, we only grilled bread and sausages for breakfast. (When there was no sunlight, even this grilling task felt too cold as standing outside at night with the wind hitting my body was unbearable.) The sauna had already been preheated upon our arrival, so we could relax and use it right away—thank you! After enjoying the sauna, we also used the bath. The spacious bathroom and bathtub were very comfortable. The provided warm jacket-like garment kept us cozy—it was great! Additionally, we loved the indoor fireplace here. It’s surrounded by bricks with a wide opening. Watching the flames leisurely turned out to be more enjoyable than expected; in fact, it satisfied us more than using an outdoor fire pit. Due to our misunderstanding during research beforehand, we thought check-in would be contactless and arrived late without realizing that staff were waiting at the entrance for us—we panicked upon arrival when we realized this mistake. We sincerely apologize for that incident. In summer stays without fireplaces or stoves available elsewhere before this trip where accommodations were entirely contactless led us astray into assuming similar arrangements here too—but facilities like stoves/fireplaces/saunas often require initial face-to-face explanations regarding safety measures which indeed proved helpful during our first visit here! While subsequent visits might allow non-contact check-ins if feasible—it’s understandable either way depending on preferences. Regarding other aspects: unfortunately one ceiling-mounted BOSE speaker wasn’t functional despite inquiries via chat support; however alternative Bluetooth speakers indoors sufficed instead though slightly disappointing initially especially since someone accompanying me wanted testing them specifically but overall manageable workaround existed nonetheless thankfully! Lastly nearby surroundings exploration revealed missed opportunity discovering sausage vending machine shop selling unique spiral-shaped pork products located mere moments away driving distance-wise Although I booked this Hotel at short notice, the front desk service was excellent. It is close to the station, and the Room felt comfortable like a studio apartment. The toilet and bath are separate, which made it very relaxing.

From check-in to check-out, we had no contact with anyone other than the staff in charge, and were able to enjoy a space and time that felt like a secret hideout. When we first planned this trip, our main goal was to see the sea of clouds at Torii Pass that we had heard about in the media, but our time at Seihou Sansou turned out to be wonderfully relaxing and restful. It rained from evening into the night, so we couldn’t have a campfire, but if we have another chance, we definitely want to do it next time. This time we stayed in Okugura, and next time we would also like to tour the main house. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I stayed here last year as well and was happy that the large public bath wasn’t crowded. It’s also great value—close to the station and affordable even with breakfast included—so I chose to stay again this time. The bed felt firm, so I requested a mattress topper, and at check-in I was surprised to be told that since I had made the same request last year, they had already prepared a Room with it in place. Since this is a business hotel, I honestly wasn’t expecting this kind of thoughtful service, but I was truly impressed. This time there seemed to be fewer tourists as well, so the hallways were quiet and I slept very well. I often stay at other chain business hotels too, but this kind of consideration—based on past records—is something I’ve only experienced at 4- or 5-star hotels. Thank you very much.

Thank you for hosting us for a Multiple Night Stay with meals included. As requested in the comments at the time of Reservation, you kindly changed the meal menu between the first and second days, and we enjoyed both very much. The staff were naturally friendly and easy to talk to while still being professional, which made our stay very comfortable. We look forward to staying with you again.

The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean.

At check-in, we were given chilled hand towels. It was a very hot day, so they felt wonderful to use. Drinks were also complimentary, and there were many thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We’d love to stay here again.

I stayed for 24 hours with breakfast included. The Facility was clean, all the staff were very pleasant, and parking was free! It’s not an Onsen, but there is a large public bath with jet features, and it was very clean. I don’t think you can find this level of service at this price anywhere else! If I had to mention one small downside, the breakfast side dishes weren’t warm... but at this price, I’m not dissatisfied at all! I’d love to stay here again if I have the chance!

I used this hotel on a driving trip in Gunma. Since my goal was to drive mountain roads, I had to go back as far as Isesaki, so the location was the only drawback. Other than that, everything was excellent. The front desk staff were very pleasant and kind—thank you. The room was clean, the bath was clean, and there was also a sauna (nighttime only), so I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again if I have the chance. Please note that there are many one-way streets in the area, so you need to be careful. Access by car is very good.

We slept comfortably even as a couple! Breakfast was healthy, and the unique menu felt fresh and different from anywhere else. If I could make one request, I’d love to have options like natto or eggs. There were also various complimentary drinks available during our stay, which was perfect for a coffee lover like me. Thank you very much.

It was very good. The convenience store is a bit of a walk, but there were several handy shops nearby. That was really helpful for business travelers. Thank you again, and we look forward to staying with you next time.

Because there are a few steps at the entrance, it was difficult to carry my suitcase up, but the free parking makes it a great choice for guests traveling by car. The staff were also very helpful.

We stayed here with our two dogs. It’s a charming, dignified traditional Japanese house Accommodation, and it was spotless and impeccably clean throughout. The Room was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of dog supplies, so even if you forget something, you’ll be just fine. The seasonal meals were delicious and beautifully prepared. Our dogs seemed to really like the handsome staff member, which gave us a good laugh. This is an Accommodation we’d love to stay at again—perfect for soothing both mind and body. Highly recommended for anyone traveling with their dog.

Great value for money and very clean.

We had a comfortable stay with the double bed and loft bed. My son and I used the large public bath; since it’s only available for men, we didn’t have high expectations, but it pleasantly surprised us—the bathroom was clean, and my son was excited. The homemade-style breakfast was also delicious. Thank you very much.

I stayed for one night and two days. The facility was very clean, allowing for a comfortable stay. The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. Although the distance from the station is a drawback, the value for money makes up for it. I would love to stay here again!
