Nestled at the foot of Mount Myogi, a famous peak in Gunma Prefecture, "Hotel Sakura-ya" in Isobe Onsen is a historic Ryokan established in 1870. Beloved by literary figures and artists, this location offers excellent access, being only about 90 minutes from Tokyo. Situated in a quiet riverside setting, it provides a tranquil retreat. The charming guest rooms, including Japanese-style and Japanese-Western style rooms, offer views of the Usui River's gentle flow, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The Onsen, rich in salt content, is known for its smooth and warm sensation, making it effective for relieving fatigue. Enjoy a rejuvenating experience for both body and mind in the large communal bath or the open-air bath.

The Property, located a 20-minute drive from the World Heritage Site Tomioka Silk Mill, offers WiFi in all guest rooms and features two separate large baths for men and women. Isobe Onsen has long been cherished by travelers and spa-goers, with its high-quality chloride bicarbonate spring water known as "beauty water" and "healing water for colds." From the special pure Japanese-style room on the top floor, guests can enjoy seasonal landscapes. A new style Ryokan was established in Isobe in July 2022. This is a new style Ryokan designed for those who prefer a more casual travel experience rather than the extensive services of a traditional Ryokan. Enjoy a private space with an entire Property reserved for your stay. The Property features a spacious living room, three different types of bedrooms, a ping-pong Room, a board game Room, and more, all packed into one luxurious private space. Equipped with a wooden deck, soft Kyoto Wasarashi cotton pajamas, and ReFa hair dryers, your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable. With the tableware, cooking utensils, and hot plates provided at our Property, you can enjoy activities like a barbecue or takoyaki party. While you are welcome to prepare or bring your own meals for dinner and breakfast, we also offer a Plan where you can have barbecue ingredients, including meat directly delivered from the local "Hagiwara Meat Shop" to your Room on the day of your stay. For breakfast, we can provide a popular colorful bagel sandwich and drink set at the attached café. Starting November 2024, we have introduced a private sauna, available free of charge for our guests. The "Misa Sauna Stove" used in the sauna is directly imported from Finland. Unlike the high-temperature dry saunas commonly found in Japan, we have adopted a Finnish wet sauna style, where water is poured over heated sauna stones. This gentle and wet Finnish sauna experience can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders.
