The wooden three-story Ryokan, built over 100 years ago, retains traces of its history in features such as staircase drawers, window frames, ceiling boards, and shoe racks, which are now rare to find. To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, we have renovated most of the rooms while preserving some of the original charm. Bansuiro Fukuzumi is a historic Onsen accommodation in Hakone Yumoto, established in 1625 during the Kan'ei era, with its own private hot spring source. Established in 1878 as Japan's first full-scale Resort Hotel in Miyanoshita, Hakone, Fujiya Hotel began with a single Western-style building constructed by its founder, Sennosuke Yamaguchi. Over time, through numerous expansions and renovations, it has become a grand architectural symbol of Hakone. Having overcome many challenges, including natural disasters, much of the building was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 1997. After more than two years of extensive renovations, the "new" Fujiya Hotel reopened in 2020.
