Ōtsuchi Station × Highly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

This was my first time staying for one night. There were three women in one Room, and an extra bed was provided. The Room was clean and comfortable. I was very happy that there is a large public bath on the top floor. All the staff were kind and very pleasant. It’s also very close to Kamaishi Station, so I would like to stay here again if I have the chance.

We had a truly wonderful time. The homemade-style meals, the thoughtfully prepared Room and space, and the open-air bath while listening to the sound of the waves were all exceptional. The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying. And we were deeply moved by the former proprietress’s storytelling. It reminded us to feel grateful once again for being alive—being allowed to live—here and now. Thank you very much. This is a highly recommended Accommodation.

The ocean is right in front of you. If the weather had been good, we would have enjoyed the beach, but with a typhoon approaching we couldn’t go outside, which was disappointing. The sound of the waves at night was also quite loud. We chose our dinner time at check-in. Breakfast can be taken at any time during the service hours, but seating seems to be first-come, first-served and it can get crowded depending on the time. There was a wide variety of breakfast dishes, which was great. Please note that the parking spaces and lanes are narrow, so extra care is needed.

This was my first time staying here. I am grateful for the kind assistance from the front desk staff, housekeeping staff, and dining hall staff. The Room was clean and comfortable, although I did notice some minor cracks and peeling on the wallpaper. The bathroom, though compact, was well-maintained and allowed for a relaxing experience. Breakfast had slight menu variations over two days, and I especially appreciated having porridge available as it suited my sensitive stomach. I slept well and had a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

On my way back from a business trip to Morioka, I took the Kamaishi Expressway via Hanamaki, stopped by the Roadside Station at Kamaishi Sennintoge, and headed south. This was my first stay at Crown Hills Kamaishi. For a business trip with breakfast and a large public bath included, it was very reasonably priced. There is a concentrated dining area nearby, making it easy to find dinner, and this season there was also a summer night market event that I really enjoyed. The late-night Kamaishi ramen was delicious as well. The sea was rough this time due to the typhoon, but next time I’d like to stay again with my family during a season outside typhoon period. I couldn’t finish the large portion of wakame seaweed shabu-shabu, but everything else was great.
