It was a very cozy Hotel. The delicious breakfast, the staff’s warm smiles, and the clean Room—everything offered service and quality beyond the price. Because of the rain, we spent more time at the Hotel, but it was very comfortable. When I visit Kyoto again, I would definitely like to stay here.

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

Although we traveled during extreme heat, the moment we stepped into the Hotel amid the bustle of Arashiyama, it felt like a different world, welcomed by a white garden. We arrived early, but they kindly showed us to our Room since it was already prepared, which made us very happy. The Room was stylish and comfortable. The view from the balcony and the sound of water were soothing, and we had a wonderful time. For dinner, we enjoyed tapas and pasta while watching Togetsukyo Bridge at dusk—beautifully presented and delicious. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again in another season. This trip also celebrated my daughter, and thank you for preparing flowers in our Room for her. It became a memorable trip.

Everything was excellent. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all outstanding. We had a wonderful time. We would love to stay here again when we visit Kyoto.

It was a highly satisfying stay. The Room was clean and well maintained, and we were able to relax comfortably. The staff were polite and kind, and we truly felt their warm hospitality. For dinner, we could choose kamameshi from three options and enjoyed it freshly made. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes to go with rice, so satisfying that we ended up eating more than usual. Although the bath is not a natural Onsen, it was spacious and very relaxing, helping us fully recover from travel fatigue. The location is excellent and very convenient as a base for sightseeing. We would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Arashiyama.

The staff’s warm smiles and excellent service were wonderful. The meals were Japanese cuisine, and we were very satisfied. The Onsen was also clean, and we were able to relax. It was a great Accommodation, conveniently located near Tenryu-ji Temple and the bamboo grove.

The location is excellent. The Onsen exceeded expectations and could be featured more prominently. The staff’s kimono dressing is flawless. As expected of a long-established Ryokan, the proprietress’s training and guidance are clearly reflected throughout.

A relaxing Accommodation that makes you want to stay again. The staff were very courteous and attentive. Breakfast was served in a lovely atmosphere, and it was very filling. The only drawback is that the on-site parking lot is very narrow. Our car required quite a bit of maneuvering and someone guiding us; there is also a flat lot farther away, but considering the weather and our luggage, we chose the closer option. It’s within walking distance of the bus stop, so we were able to go out after check-in as well.

Traveling with my two lively daughters, I’m sure we caused some inconvenience at times, but this was such a wonderful Accommodation that we’re certain to return. Above all, the staff were outstanding!! From the warm welcome, everything—breakfast, the private Onsen, Suiran Delight, and the rickshaw Shuttle Service—became a wonderful memory. Our 10-year-old eldest daughter was truly moved and said she’ll definitely work hard so we can stay here every year (lol). We will be back again. Thank you very much.

A wonderful Accommodation has opened right in front of the World Heritage site Ninna-ji Temple. From before we even entered, the staff welcomed us warmly, guided us to our Room, and provided very attentive explanations. It felt like the highest level of hospitality—like staying at a luxury Ryokan from the Showa era. The Room features exquisite Nishijin-ori textiles throughout, adding a refined Kyoto touch in many places. The entire building is tatami-floored, which felt great underfoot, and since it is newly built, the fresh scent was very pleasant. In the lounge, you can relax quietly while looking out at Ninna-ji Temple. Dinner was served in a private room, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal made with seasonal ingredients—clearly prepared with great care by the chef. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were treated to a special cocktail. It paired well with the food and was delicious. The bath was excellent as expected, and it was always kept impeccably clean no matter when we went in, making it very comfortable to use. This Accommodation was outstanding in every way—I can’t write enough about it. Since children are not allowed to stay here, it’s perfect when you want peaceful time for adults only. Thank you to all the staff for your heartfelt hospitality. We’ve found another favorite Accommodation.

It felt like living in Kyoto, not in a concrete Hotel, but experiencing a Kyoto home. The food delivery was efficient, and we could enjoy it at a good timing. The Room was clean and beautiful, and the service was kind and courteous, which I thought was very good.

The indoor area was very spacious and the facilities were well-equipped, allowing for a comfortable stay. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

The atmosphere and decor of the building were excellent! Although it is a bit away from the city center, it is in a quiet location and very comfortable to stay.

During my dorm stay, a foreign guest was talking on the phone in the Room, but when I contacted the crew they responded immediately and it became quiet afterward. The kitchen was clean and easy to use. The shower room had great water pressure. It’s within walking distance from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, and the nearest bus stop is close as well, so access is convenient. If you buy food at the convenience store near Hankyu Arashiyama Station, you won’t really need to go out again. The bed mattress is on the firm side. I was on the lower bunk, and there was a gap between the bed and the wall, which made it possible to sit on the bed—something I really appreciated because I have trouble with my legs. The toilets were also clean. Free coffee and tea were a nice touch. It was also great to have a window that could be opened; waking up with morning light felt wonderful. I heard there are mixed-gender dorms, and I was surprised when a man came in right behind me at the moment I entered the door code and opened the door. He noticed right away and left, but it would be helpful if doors were clearly labeled “Ladies Only” or “Mixed.” Breakfast starts at 9:00 AM at an affiliated café, which was a bit disappointing time-wise, but it was delicious and relaxing—truly excellent. I’d like to stay again next time. The crew were cool but kind. Some noise late at night felt unavoidable. It’s new, stylish, and recommended.

We had a wonderful stay. There was a convenience store nearby, and we were satisfied because we didn’t notice any traffic noise or other disturbances. If I had to mention one thing, the facial cleanser didn’t lather well and was difficult to use.

We stayed for one night with our child (6 years old) and relatives. The moment we entered the Room, we were surrounded by the scent of hinoki cypress and instantly felt relaxed. The amenities and Facility were all stylish, and we were able to spend our time feeling truly pampered. I usually really dislike typical Hotel pajamas (the comfort...) and hair dryers (the airflow just isn’t enough for thick hair...), but at hon, both were not only fine—they were genuinely impressive! I even checked the price of the pajamas online to buy them for home, and it made perfect sense. We were told in advance that “due to the structure, sound can carry easily,” and I did notice some noise from upstairs as I was falling asleep. That said, it’s really just luck, so if you think it might bother you, bringing earplugs could be a good idea. Overall, I felt this Accommodation is more suited for adults, but surprisingly my 6-year-old son seemed to like it the most (lol). The staff were also very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. We stayed with our 2-year-old and 0-year-old, and it was very convenient with a spacious bathing area, availability of bouncers and Bumbo seats, as well as baby gates. The place was clean and comfortable. We would love to stay here again!

It is close to Togetsukyo Bridge and slightly away from the main street, so I was able to enjoy a quiet stay. Breakfast was delicious, with rice cooked in a traditional pot and several kinds of obanzai served in small bowls—I wanted to have seconds again and again. Even traveling alone, I felt at ease staying here thanks to the staff’s warm smiles.
