Sabi, or "wabi-sabi," is the appreciation of the beauty found in the passage of time, where aging and weathering bring richness and value—an essential aesthetic of Japanese culture. Faded corrugated metal sheets. Weathered wooden beams on the ceiling. Rusted black steel. Surrounded by these artifacts of time, as you gaze at the maple leaves dancing in the wind, finding joy and cherishing this very moment may be the essence of enjoying "sabi."
