At Koyasan Shukubo Ekoin, a Property that combines tradition and atmosphere with a comfortable environment, guests can enjoy free experiences such as morning Goma fire rituals, Ajikan meditation, and sutra copying. The "Gachirin" suite, the largest shukubo suite room in Koyasan, was introduced in 2022 and features a spacious bedroom, a private semi-open-air bath, and a garden, offering a luxurious stay. The Shojin Ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) follows the traditional methods of five principles: five methods, five flavors, and five colors, providing healthy dishes made with plenty of vegetables, seaweed, beans, and mountain plants.
A property that emphasizes homely hospitality. For dinner, you can enjoy Koyasan's signature dishes such as "Koya Tofu" and "Sesame Tofu." Especially, the sesame tofu is prepared by removing the sesame husk, resulting in a smooth and rich flavor. Additionally, rice cooked with mountain water is highly praised. Breakfast features a traditional Japanese meal set.
A tranquil temple lodging for peace of mind. "The chirping of wild birds, the rustling of leaves, and the sound of water droplets on the pond" await you in a serene environment.
Among the many lodgings in Koyasan, ours is the only Property that preserves both a National Treasure and a World Heritage site. Within our grounds, you will find historic landmarks such as the National Treasure Tahoto Pagoda, the Important Cultural Property Sutra Repository, the Main Hall, and the Shisho Myojin Shrine. The natural monument rhododendrons, aged 300 to 400 years, reach their peak bloom in May. Relax in a serene and refined atmosphere that allows you to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life. You can also experience popular activities such as sutra copying and morning prayers. Located close to Kongobu-ji Temple, you can fully enjoy the charm of Koyasan.
