Located in front of the Seven Halls of the Great Temple Complex, adjacent to the head temple Kongobuji to the east, and backed by the mountain of Prince Kakuhou's Mausoleum, the special-status temple "Mount Koya Special-Status Temple Soujiji" is an ancient temple blessed with excellent Facilities and a grand garden. The guest rooms, set amidst the beautiful garden, are equipped with air conditioning and heating, offering a refreshing and serene atmosphere. This property features three gardens designed by Mirei Shigemori, one of which is the first garden created in Koyasan and designated as a national registered monument. Each garden represents the abundant water of Koyasan, with the water flow connecting the three gardens. You can leisurely enjoy the seasonal beauty of these gardens.
We warmly welcome business travelers, families, and groups of friends! Approximately 6 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot from Hashimoto Station on the JR Wakayama Line and Nankai Koya Line. About 60 minutes from Mihara Kita IC on the Hanwa Expressway and about 5 minutes from Hashimoto IC on the Keinawa Expressway.
Koyasan Jokiin, where the Jizodo Hall was completed in 2001, is a temple themed around "healing." The large communal bath "Jizo-yu" has been renovated, and the temple offers a shukubo (temple lodging) experience. Some special rooms do not have private baths, and the communal bath is available from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM (4:00 PM to 9:30 PM in December). Additionally, the temple's vegetarian cuisine emphasizes the seasonal essence and the esoteric Buddhist principles of "Five Methods, Five Tastes, and Five Colors," utilizing ingredients to their fullest. Guests can enjoy dishes crafted with care, featuring five types of seasoning, cooking methods, and color arrangements.
Among the many lodgings in Koyasan, ours is the only Property that preserves both a National Treasure and a World Heritage site. Within our grounds, you will find historic landmarks such as the National Treasure Tahoto Pagoda, the Important Cultural Property Sutra Repository, the Main Hall, and the Shisho Myojin Shrine. The natural monument rhododendrons, aged 300 to 400 years, reach their peak bloom in May. Relax in a serene and refined atmosphere that allows you to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life. You can also experience popular activities such as sutra copying and morning prayers. Located close to Kongobu-ji Temple, you can fully enjoy the charm of Koyasan.

A spacious 53 square meter (33 tatami mats) area featuring 4 single beds, a dining and living space, bath, toilet (with bidet), refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, and a TV (YouTube compatible). The entire Property is reserved for your stay, and as an unmanned Facility, you can enjoy your time without worrying about other guests or staff. The entrance key is a unique PIN code for each guest and comes with an auto-lock system for your peace of mind. (The PIN code will be sent via email approximately 5 days before check-in.) Child Sharing Existing Bedding is free for one child per adult. A check-in camera is installed in the entrance windbreak room.

Furthermore, the Facility offers a wide range of amenities, including a Mongolian-style sauna health furnace, sauna, a relaxation area equipped with recliners and TVs, a manga corner, and more.
