All staff were exceptionally kind and provided warm, heartfelt service. The French dinner was outstanding, from the presentation to every dish, and breakfast began with freshly baked croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice—both the Japanese set meal and the Western set meal were thoroughly satisfying. Conveniently located, this is a quiet, hidden-gem Hotel.

Above all, the Horyu-ji tour exclusively for guests was outstanding. After a delicious breakfast, we explored Horyu-ji with a professional storyteller-guide who offers a different experience every day of the year—enjoyable for everyone from first-timers to true enthusiasts. With Nara poised for a boom as it becomes a candidate for World Cultural Heritage status, this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again and again in different seasons while it’s still quiet.

I came to Nara for the first time with my mother because we wanted to see Nara Park and the deer. We chose this Ryokan because it is close to Nara Park and has an in-room Onsen. I love traveling both in Japan and abroad, and when traveling domestically, I enjoy staying at Onsen Ryokan and wonderful Hotels. I have visited many places, but Fufu Nara was truly outstanding. Sightseeing was fun as well—we explored more than just the deer—and I would definitely like to visit Nara again, and return to Fufu Nara too. The staff’s hospitality was excellent; everyone was incredibly kind. The room and the Onsen were very clean and perfect. All of the food was delicious. We will be back.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. It was a trip with my daughter, planned so we could fully enjoy the newly renovated Nara Hotel, since sightseeing during the hot summer season can be challenging. We were relieved to find that the classic, dignified interior remains unchanged. At the same time, the bathtub and other features in our Room were up to date, making our stay very comfortable. We also enjoyed afternoon tea at Mikasa and breakfast at a relaxed pace, forgetting about the heat outside. Next time, I would like to invite my husband as well and plan another trip simply to unwind. Thank you to all of your staff.

Although it was very hot during our stay, we received a cooling bath additive at the front desk and were able to relax comfortably in the bath. You always come up with thoughtful touches, which makes staying here something we look forward to. The Room isn’t large, but it has a calm color scheme and is functional.

I stayed at this Accommodation at the end of May. It’s close to the station, and it was a huge help that they could store my luggage before check-in and after check-out. Also, this is a Ryokan-style property where you take off your shoes when entering, but I really liked the system that lets you either bring your shoes to your Room or leave them in a locker (I really dislike places that take your shoes away at the entrance, and I usually avoid staying at Ryokan for that reason). The only thing I noticed was that there was no hand soap in the sink area of the Room (and none in the shower booth either). Since it was listed among the in-room amenities in the introduction video, I assume it was simply forgotten. Other than that, my stay was very comfortable—thank you very much.

I used it because it has a natural Onsen. It is a relaxing bath. The bathing area is not too bright, but not too dark either, so you can unwind. Even older guests can feel at ease. Right in front of the station, with parking available (parking is charged separately). For this price, the quality felt like a great value.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied with the outstanding value for money. Above all, I was surprised that a Hotel in this price range offers access to a rooftop terrace bar, and it was wonderful to relax while taking in the views of Nara’s cityscape. The room was clean and well equipped, and the staff were polite and attentive, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is also convenient and ideal as a base for sightseeing, and I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Nara.

It was my first time visiting Nara. I was very satisfied with my first stay at Kaze no Naramachi. The hospitality was wonderful in every aspect—from the service and the Room to the meals and thoughtful care. The weather was bad, so sightseeing did not go as planned, but I would like to stay again and fully enjoy what Nara has to offer. Thank you as well for the delicious sake.

Before dinner, the second-floor gallery overlooking Mt. Wakakusa becomes a waiting bar, where you can relax while watching the deer heading home. Once guided to the first-floor restaurant, you are welcomed by the hearth and served—standing—local cucumber gazpacho, Yamato Nikudori chicken (a firm-textured gamefowl-type breed?) pinchos, and freshly made mozzarella kneaded right in front of you. After being gently drawn in at an unhurried pace, you are shown to your table. The course goes without saying: each dish showcases carefully selected ingredients with meticulous technique, paired with clear and thoughtful explanations. And finally, even the coffee comes as a surprise. The staff are friendly as well, with a comfortable sense of distance.

I have stayed here many times. Although it is an older Accommodation, the Room and baths are always kept very clean, which makes for a very pleasant stay. The staff are attentive and considerate while maintaining a comfortable sense of distance—truly a wonderful Accommodation. The early-summer dishes this time were also delicious. They looked refreshing and beautifully presented. I would love to visit again in winter. Thank you very much.

It was a hot stay in Nara, but the property is close to Nara Station, with convenience stores and shopping facilities nearby, so we didn’t have to walk around much in the heat. The Room was clean, and it was great that the toilet and bathroom were separate. It was also helpful that we could store our luggage after check-out. We would like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Arriving drenched in sweat, I was able to take a breather right away in the lounge with the complimentary shaved ice service. It felt like the best kind of hospitality. The Room felt smaller than I expected, but everything was pleasantly well kept and I had a comfortable stay. Joining the morning walk was also worthwhile—I learned things for the first time thanks to the guide’s explanations, making it a meaningful experience. All of the staff were friendly and courteous. With Kofuku-ji Temple, Nara Park, and the station all nearby, it’s an ideal location for sightseeing, so I’d definitely like to stay here again when I visit Nara.

Because we enjoyed our previous stay so much, we came back again. It was convenient to leave our luggage at the information center in front of Kintetsu Nara Station. The Room had an even better view than last time, and my mother was delighted. We were able to relax in a private dining room for both dinner and breakfast. The meals were delicious as well. A Hotel I’ve stayed at many times. The rates are affordable, and the service exceeds expectations. I’ll definitely be back again. Thank you always.

We had been looking forward to our stay even before arriving. We stayed in a Room with a slide, and the kids were thrilled (an early elementary schooler and a 3-year-old). The Facility offerings were also excellent, so we had no trouble at all even with children (including a space where kids can play). They also organized a festival event inside the Hotel during our visit, and we joined that as well. All the staff were kind, and we felt their hospitality everywhere. The view from the rooftop terrace was wonderful (morning is recommended). During dinner, there was live music, and they included songs that children would enjoy, so it never got boring. Highly recommended for families with children. Of course, I think it would be a very satisfying stay for adults only as well. We will definitely return. Thank you very much for everything.

Given the price, I didn’t expect much, but it was wonderful. The location is near Kintetsu Nara Station and very convenient for convenience stores, restaurants, and sightseeing (with a nearby bus stop). The bed and Room were spacious and more than sufficient. Whenever we needed help, pressing the staff button brought prompt, efficient, and friendly assistance. Breakfast had a carefully selected variety of items and was enough for us. Considering the location, this quality at this price is simply excellent. I will stay here again when I visit Nara. Thank you very much.

When I’m on a business trip and there is a Fine Garden nearby, the Business Plan is my first choice. This was my first time using the Nara Horai location. The female front desk staff were extremely helpful, which immediately left me with a great impression. The Room and bath are spacious, the amenities are well stocked, there is an in-room massage chair, and although simple, dinner (with all-you-can-drink including alcohol) and breakfast are included (available even early in the morning, so you can eat before an early departure). All of this comes at a very reasonable price—much better value than staying at a Business Hotel. Once again, it was a very satisfying stay.

It had been a while since we last gathered—this time, all our children and grandchildren came together to celebrate my wife’s and my birthdays. We chose a long-established Ryokan located at the gateway to beautiful Nara Park, just a 2-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station—an ideal meeting point for our family coming from both the Kanto and Kansai regions. The Shosoin-inspired building we had often admired on the way to Nara Park turned out to be Kasuga Hotel. It was our first stay, and it proved to be a wonderful Accommodation that stands at the entrance to historic Nara Park. Here are a few memorable moments from our visit. With its major restoration now underway—the first in about 120 years since FY2022—Kofuku-ji Temple’s National Treasure Five-Story Pagoda will be something we look forward to enjoying again from our Room once the work is completed.

I had a comfortable stay from check-in to check-out. The Room (single room) was clean. I was also able to relax in the shared cafe area. Everyone working at the Hotel was kind and courteous, so I felt at ease throughout my stay. On my way out, I met one of the housekeeping staff members, who saw me off with a smile—another happy memory added. I would be glad to stay again in the future.
