VILLA COMMUNICO is a gastronomic auberge located at the foot of Mount Wakakusa in the ancient city of Nara, where we create and share a new culinary experience for Nara using primitive wood-fired cooking.Chef Horita, who earned a Michelin star in the Nara Michelin Guide 2022 and 2023, has elevated the innovative restaurant "COMMUNICO" to new heights. At VILLA COMMUNICO, we carefully source seasonal blessings, select game meat, and wild river fish delivered daily by dedicated producers who share our vision. Located at the western edge of "Nara Park," one of Japan's most renowned scenic spots surrounded by World Heritage sites such as Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Kofuku-ji Temple, and Todai-ji Temple, the Hotel stands in a place known worldwide as the birthplace of Japanese culture. The Hotel features 43 guest rooms (23 of which include private Onsen baths or open-air baths) designed with interiors that harmonize with nature, offering a refined atmosphere that reflects the traditions of Nara. The main building of the Hotel, a renovated "Nara Prefectural Governor's Residence" originally built in the Taisho era, houses a restaurant where you can fully experience the terroir and culinary history of Nara, as well as a sushi bar utilizing a traditional storehouse. Additionally, the Hotel's grounds include a Japanese garden where you can enjoy the beauty of each season, providing Facilities that ensure a seamless travel experience.

Located near Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Todai-ji Temple, Nara's Takabatake area retains the rich essence of ancient landscapes, where the lives of shrine families and literary figures continue to thrive. In this historic Takabatake, a 100-year-old sukiya-style architectural masterpiece has been reimagined with new elements of design, furniture, and contemporary art, giving birth to "Suimontei," a Property that accommodates only one group per day. Hotel 登大路 Nara is an auberge located next to the 1300-year-old World Heritage site "Kōfuku-ji."

Inspired by the history of the Nara period, our facility features a traditional Japanese sauna with low sliding doors reminiscent of that era. To allow families and groups of friends to immerse themselves in Nara's history, we have designed spacious living rooms and bedrooms, equipped each guest room with a semi-open-air bath, and included local sake "Harushika" along with all necessary amenities within the accommodation fee.
