Maruto Soy Sauce, Nara Prefecture’s oldest soy sauce brewery, has been reborn as a stayable soy sauce brewery.Founded in 1689, Maruto Soy Sauce was once an esteemed brewery that served the Imperial Household and even welcomed members of the Imperial Family for extended stays. After the war, however, it was forced to close due to difficulties in sourcing satisfactory ingredients.
