Takemura Station × Accommodation With Relaxing Welcome LoungeHighly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

Thank you for having me for one weekday night. I was told at check-in that the hotel was almost fully booked, but it was great to be able to check how crowded the large public bath and dining venue were, so I could use them comfortably without rushing. If I had to ask for one thing, having one more set of towels per person would have made the stay even more comfortable.

You can tell they’re working hard to renovate an older building, but it still has an undeniable charm. These days it’s rare to find a plan with dinner and breakfast included, and you can order until 9:30 PM. The menu includes Nagoya specialties and motsu nabe, and everything was delicious. Breakfast is hearty as well, and I was happy they even had kishimen. The bath is an artificial hot spring, but there’s a large public bath, which is quite nice. The relaxing lounge has a coffee machine, so being able to drink café lattes and the like is a plus. The bed in the room is on the firmer side, so you can sleep soundly. On the other hand, you do notice the age of the building at times, and the Wi‑Fi wasn’t great—some disappointing points—but overall it’s an appealing business hotel that makes you want to come back.
