We enjoyed delicious meals in the Room, and we were happy to be able to take our time and enjoy them. However, the toilet lock malfunctioned repeatedly, and it was also difficult to understand how to use the in-room safe. Natural Onsen baths and a wide variety of delicious dishes. It feels like a luxury Onsen Hotel from Japan’s Showa bubble era. There are older and newer wings, and from everywhere we enjoyed stunning views of the calm, rolling waves of Mikawa Bay. The lighthouse was charming and atmospheric. The many sets of Mikawa samurai armor and bridal kimono also gave us a sense of the history of Katahara Castle from the Sengoku period. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.
