The Capitol Hotel Tokyu opened on October 22, 2010. Its predecessor, the Capitol Tokyu Hotel, inherited the legacy of the Tokyo Hilton Hotel, which first opened in 1963. Over 43 years until closing in 2006, it created countless memories and was cherished by guests. Carrying on that tradition while embracing a new sensibility, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu was reborn. Designed by architect Kengo Kuma, this high-rise mixed-use building pursues the essence of Japanese aesthetics and offers a comfortable and secure setting for moments of calm.In the Forbes Travel Guide 2026 Star Awards—one of the world’s most prestigious travel ratings—the hotel received the highest Five-Star rating in the Hotel category for the sixth consecutive year, following its recognition in 2025.
