Nami Station × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

We were a bit anxious as it was right after the Kumamoto earthquakes, but our whole family was able to fully enjoy Aso (Kumamoto). At dinner, the irori hearth-cooked meal was wonderful—the fried tofu and konnyaku were delicious, and the Akaushi beef, Akadori chicken, and horse sashimi were all excellent. Even our son, who usually doesn’t like grilled meat, really enjoyed it. We were also surprised by how many dishes there were at breakfast. Each item was carefully explained to us, and everything was delicious. The rice was especially good—we had seconds again and again. The bath was spacious and very relaxing, and we were happy to be able to try a Goemon bath. As a coffee lover, I was also delighted to grind beans in the Room and enjoy freshly brewed coffee. After we got home, our daughter said she promised Grandma we would go again, and as a family we talked about how much we’d like to return. Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality.

We stopped by during a drive trip to Mt. Aso. We traveled with our 1-year-old child, and we really appreciated the thoughtful consideration for meals. The food was delicious, and the open-air bath was excellent. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity.

We stayed for one night and two days. After passing Kurokawa Onsen, the Accommodation appeared quietly tucked away. Inside was very clean with an elegant atmosphere. The Room had tatami flooring and a bright, stylish design. It seemed everyone was spending a relaxing time in their Rooms. The open-air bath was spacious, and no matter when we went in, we had it all to ourselves—such a luxurious time. The water quality was excellent, and we were very satisfied. The meals were well balanced and truly delicious. Since it is not in an Onsen town, this Accommodation is recommended for those who want to rest and relax at the Accommodation.

I wanted to support a locally run, family-owned Accommodation, so I chose Irifune this time. The moment I stepped inside from the entrance, I was thrilled! After leaving the large public bath in the morning, I relaxed in the lobby with a cup of coffee. Spending unhurried time in the lobby while enjoying the traditional old house atmosphere was wonderful. The Room, the private bath in the Room, and the meals—everything was outstanding! I also purchased a pair of geta sandals. From now on, every time I wear them, I’ll remember Irifune and enjoy that lingering feeling in my everyday life. If I use them as indoor slippers, I’ll have more chances to wear them, so I plan to use them indoors. To all the staff: when I come back to Kumamoto, Irifune will be my only choice for a Reservation! Both breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, including meat, fish, tempura, noodles, salads—everything you could want. The food is delicious. There are many kinds of desserts, and you can also take them back to your Room to enjoy. The herbal tea was excellent. The staff’s friendly greetings were wonderful. It’s a Hotel that’s hard to book, so if you get the chance, definitely give it a try.

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. Your attentive service was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied in every way. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again. The in-room Onsen was also excellent.

I splurged on a one-night stay at an Accommodation I’d long admired. Having watched it on YouTube, I knew what to expect, but it was still an overwhelming experience. The attentiveness and demeanor of the staff in charge of my Room, along with their polite language, left a strong impression—it truly felt like a luxury Accommodation. The Room was absolutely wonderful, and the private bath was exceptional as well. The cuisine was stylish and very satisfying. They even accommodated my request during the evening performance, making it an unforgettable night that felt far removed from everyday life. I’ve stayed at many Accommodations over the years, and this is the best one yet. Thank you for such a wonderful day.

I stayed here again for the first time in 15 years. When staying in Kuju, this Accommodation is definitely the right choice. I was satisfied with everything—the views, the open-air bath, the service, and the meals. One small thing: the faucet at the Room sink was a bit too short and slightly inconvenient to use (haha). I made wonderful memories.

Surrounded by Aso’s great natural scenery, the views were amazing! We were upgraded, so our Room was a Japanese-Western style room with a wonderful view. The food was also excellent—Akaushi roast beef and steak, sashimi, and more—with an all-you-can-drink plan, so we were very satisfied! It was only one night, but we really enjoyed the stargazing walk at night, fireworks, the pool, the massage room, and manga—everything was great. The open-air bath was a bit too bright in the daytime because of the sun, so I’d like some measures for that. I wanted to soak in the open-air bath under the night sky, but I drank too much and fell asleep. The next morning we could even see a sea of clouds—it became a truly wonderful memory!

There was a great selection, from treats like crab and grilled eel steak to local specialties such as ramen and dango-jiru. They also had ice cream for dessert, which was very satisfying. I used the large public bath early, so it wasn’t crowded and I could relax. There is also a private family bath, making it convenient for families with small children.

We stayed in the Kids Terrace Room with our children during summer vacation. They were thrilled with the bunk beds and the tent. Best of all, the terrace connects directly to the lawn area, so we could relax on the terrace while watching them play. They enjoyed experiences that are hard to find in the city, like driving RC carts on the grass, feeding ponies, and playing with water guns. The meals were also excellent, with many dishes featuring local ingredients. The late-night tantan noodles and complimentary ice cream after a bath were wonderful touches. The Facility had been renovated and felt new inside, making our stay very comfortable. Even after returning home, our kids still say they want to stay again. We’d love to visit again when we have the chance.

The star-filled night sky was breathtaking, and the night trekking—something you rarely get to experience—was simply amazing. I was able to make irreplaceable memories with my 8-year-old daughter. Thank you so much.

I’ve stayed here twice as a solo traveler! Each Room is in a separate annex and comes with a 24-hour free-flowing Onsen, so I loved being able to enjoy it anytime. The bath was also large enough for several people, which was amazing! The Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Meals were served in a private dining room, so privacy was fully maintained and I could relax and enjoy them. The seafood, meat, and rice were all delicious—I was completely full and very satisfied! The service was pleasant as well; it’s a wonderful Accommodation. I’d love to stay again!

Thank you very much for everything. Was it my first time staying at a pension in 40 years? We have stayed at many Ryokan and Hotels, but the meals here were outstanding. At our age we can’t eat large portions anymore (laugh), so having small amounts of truly delicious food was perfect for us. We were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast—we even felt compelled to express our thanks from our side. The private bath exceeded our expectations, with everything prepared, even a body-washing towel. My husband, who is usually quite strict in his opinions, gave full marks for the food and said he would definitely like to return. We hope to visit again in autumn. Thank you as well for seeing us off when we left. Thanks to the warm hospitality of such a lovely couple, we departed feeling wonderful. All the staff were cheerful and energetic, and their service was excellent. The Room and the bath were spacious and comfortable. The view from the Room was outstanding. Every dish at dinner was delicious. I would definitely like to stay again when I visit Aso. Thank you very much.

The building itself feels a bit old, but it is clean and there were no inconveniences at all. The staff are friendly, making for a very pleasant stay. The parking lot is free and spacious, suitable for any type of vehicle. Above all, the location is excellent—perfect for sightseeing around Aso! A great Hotel you’ll definitely want to return to.

After climbing Mt. Inaboshi in Kuju as a couple, we stayed here. It rained throughout the hike and we got quite cold, but after coming down, soaking in the warm Onsen, enjoying our favorite beer, and having a delicious course meal was the best. We were comforted by the warm hospitality of the couple who run this Accommodation. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

The dishes were well-seasoned and delicious. The variety of dishes was just right and very tasty, making it a perfect experience. Additionally, the desserts such as pudding, ice cream, and zenzai were delightful. The staff's service was excellent as well. Thank you very much!
