The private family bath was spacious and even had a waterfall feature, with the water at just the right temperature, so we could soak and relax. The atmosphere of the large public bath was also wonderful. The meals featured local ingredients, the portions were just right, and we were very satisfied! If you have mobility issues, going up and down to the first floor may be difficult, but it was a quiet place to spend time. We’d love to visit again after a hike in the mountains.

At the end of our Golden Week trip to Beppu, we moved on to Yufuin. We stayed here for our final night. This time, we booked the “Carefully Selected Kyushu Wagyu Tenderloin Indulgence Plan” and spent one night in the PREMIUM Suite Room “Kunugi.” To sum it up, it was unquestionably a wonderful stay. First of all, the Room is spacious! A relaxing Japanese-style living room, plus a bedroom with a second living area. And the highlight is surely the open-air bath on the large terrace—amazingly, there are two baths: one fully open-air and one semi-open-air! The weather was great that day, so we enjoyed the breeze and long soaks. I was still in the bath right up until just before check-out (lol). The meal was also excellent—the main dish featured both tenderloin and Bungo chicken. It was also appreciated that anything we couldn’t finish could be served again the next morning. That said, it’s quite a generous portion, so those with smaller appetites should take note. The Accommodation staff’s service was at a very satisfying level. There are many other Accommodations in Yufuin I’d like to try someday, but this stay was a perfect finale to our Golden Week trip.

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless. Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. This was our first visit for a birthday anniversary trip. Everything was outstanding. There are only 13 Rooms, and each is a separate, unique detached villa. The interior is thoughtfully designed down to every detail, spacious and comfortable, and the garden is beautifully maintained, making it a very relaxing stay. As Onsen lovers, we barely had time to rest—we fully enjoyed all seven private baths as well as the bath in our Room. There is no large public bath, but there are six private Onsen baths that you can use freely at any time. The water is free-flowing and feels wonderful. The meals were also beautifully presented with great attention to appearance as well as ingredients—decorated with orchids, stunning to look at, and very generous in portion size. From wagyu beef to lobster and shark fin, it was an incredibly luxurious and delicious dining experience. I recommend arriving with a big appetite. The staff’s hospitality and service were excellent too. We were truly glad we chose this place for our anniversary trip—it’s an Accommodation worth visiting even if you have to fly there. I’d love to come back in another season, and I’m also curious about other Rooms, so I’m sure we’ll return. If you’re unsure where to stay, I highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the property after climbing Mount Kuju. It was close to the Maki-no-toge trailhead, and after having tea at Shetani, we headed to Hanashinobu. We arrived at 4 PM and received a detailed explanation of the stay from the proprietress before heading straight to the onsen. The quality of the water was good, and there were various onsen options to choose from, which was very pleasant. Dinner was at 6 PM, which was perfect timing. The dinner was luxurious and very delicious. The room was warm, and we slept comfortably. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and we were very satisfied. We would like to visit again. The owner and the proprietress were kind, and it was a warm property.

I stayed for two nights while hiking Kuju. Both the dinner and the Onsen were excellent. After coming back exhausted from the hike, you can soak in the Onsen right away. There are no shops open at night in the area, so having dinner included is a big help. However, it’s very generous, so some people may find it a bit too much. The hospitality was also wonderful. I would love to stay again.

Due to a typhoon, I had to change my pre-hike accommodation at short notice, and I’m glad I stayed here—the Onsen was wonderful, and I was able to rest well for the hike the next day. They also let me bathe after the hike, which was fantastic! If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again.

I used it for a trip with him at the beginning of the year. It was a whole building rental, and there was a bath in the room, so we could relax as much as we wanted without worrying about the surroundings. Dinner was a special New Year's menu with fish and meat, and it was very satisfying. Above all, the rice cooked in a personal earthenware pot for breakfast was very delicious, and he was very pleased. Since it was New Year's, we were also given sake as a service on our way back. Thank you for taking care of us this time. It is a property I would definitely like to use again.

Both the meals and the Onsen were excellent. During our one-night, two-day stay, we were able to relax and unwind. The carefully prepared meals were delicious, and the portions were just right—we finished everything without leaving any. The Onsen was available 24 hours a day, and the gentle water left our skin feeling smooth. It was an Accommodation we would love to visit again. The only reason I rated the Facility 4 out of 5 was that there weren’t enough power outlets in the Room, so we had to take turns charging our phones.

Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, all very delicious, and we were completely satisfied. I only wished the tempura had been served freshly made, but it was still tasty and satisfying. Breakfast was a healthy Japanese-style meal with many small side dishes that went perfectly with rice, and I was happy to be able to have three extra bowls of rice. The private bath was a bit hot, but we could adjust the temperature. The large public bath was also clean, and we were able to relax in the Onsen. The waterfall shower is right in front of you, and they even provide coins for it—excellent. The balance of food, price, and overall satisfaction was very good. We also received discounted ski tickets, which made our ski experience great value as well. They are flexible with breakfast times for hikers and can accommodate bento lunches too, which I found very convenient. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.
