Relax and enjoy the scenic river below and the seasonal beauty surrounding you. At check-in, we offer a variety of options such as selectable yukata robes, bathing attire, Hita geta sandals, bamboo baskets, and amenities. Choose your favorites to unwind before changing into your yukata for a stroll through the Onsen town. Additionally, our large public baths and open-air Onsen feature natural free-flowing hot spring water. Tenryuso, with its long history, has been renewed as "Ryokan Tenryu" in the summer of 2023. It has been reborn as a gentle Property focusing on comfort in sleeping, bathing, and staying. While preserving the warmth of the historic building, all Rooms are river-view and equipped with beds, featuring body-friendly soft flooring. Amagase Onsen, one of the three major hot springs in Bungo, is popular as a skin-friendly beauty Onsen. For dinner, we prepare a colorful Japanese kaiseki meal that highlights the seasons, using mainly local Oita ingredients. Our establishment features a main building that has been passed down for 170 years, originally relocated from a village headman's residence from the late Edo period. This historic and well-preserved traditional Japanese house showcases the authentic craftsmanship and charm created by skilled carpenters of the time. Additionally, we offer four private Onsen baths on the premises, which can be used at any time during your stay, depending on availability. For dining, we serve Kyoto-style Kaiseki cuisine, carefully crafted by our dedicated chefs using seasonal, rustic ingredients.
