Beppu Showa-en was established in the first year of the Showa era, located in Minami-Tateishi, Beppu City, with 30 guest rooms and a garden. Later, in the third year of the Heisei era, it was relocated to its current site, which was once a thriving gold mine and the former villa site of Shirakawa-kyo. The garden from that time remains intact, and the 6,000-tsubo property includes 11 buildings with detached guest rooms and high-quality onsen sourced from gold veins, still serving long-time patrons as a regular accommodation.

The cuisine features a creative kaiseki course crafted by the head chef, focusing on seasonal ingredients and premium Oita Wagyu beef. The Onsen offers a unique silky texture with its natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source.
